Bowling Brothers!

Happy Saturday to you!  If you're looking for the Moxxie Blog Hop, please scroll down.  : )

Today I've got a fun project to share using Moxxie's "Bowler Up" collection.  Our boys love to bowl!  There's just something super fun about channeling all of their energy into tossing their bowling ball down the lane.  This is a very very good thing my friends!

I had a series of photos that I attempted to take on one of our last outings.  The cooperation level was a bit on the sketchy side, so a collage seemed like the perfect way to capture this page.

Moxxie makes some fantastic die cut papers and you can see the red scalloped circle base of it peeking underneath.  I layered a circular burst piece of card stock which was cut with my Silhouette and the chevron pattern paper cut in a circle on top.

The use of circles is to echo the vibe of a bowling ball throughout.  The score strip that I used was crimped for some "bumpy" texture.  I've used quite a few of the coordinating stickers and die cuts here. For my title, the "Brothers" phrase was cut from card stock with my Silhouette.

Ingredients:
Moxxie - Bowler Up collection (Papers, Stickers and Die-Cuts)
Core'dinations Cardstock
Spellbinders Grand Circle Die
Spellbinders Grand Calibur
Silhouette
Buttons by Fancy Pants and Doodlebug
Stick Pins by Maya Road
Paper Crimper by Fiskars

Thanks so much for stopping on over!  Be sure to visit the Moxxie blog for fun inspiration too!

Naughty or Nice? Moxxie Style!

Happy Thanksgiving eve to you!

I've got a project to share today featuring a Moxxie line called "Party at the Pole".  The collection is very fun and spirited...  just like my boys!  Ha!

I chose these fun photos to collage from last year while making Santa's "Cookies", which was the gingerbread house.  We decorated it together and of course a lot of sampling was in order.

Catch those happy little presents!

Notice how the little Elve's hat is pointing to "naughty"...
hmm...  cooincidence?

Ingredients:  "Party at the Pole" papers and diecuts by Moxxie.  Scalloped Grand Rectangle and Lacey Oval Grand dies by Spellbinders, Large Holly Flourish die and Doily die by Cheery Lynn Designs, Tag cut with Silhouette, iRock, Glam Rocks, Glitter Hot Rocks and Foam Tape by Imaginisce, Acrylic scallop border by Fancy Pants, Other:  Sewing Machine, Buttons, Seam Binding Ribbon and Thread.

Have a super scrappity day and a very blessed Thanksgiving!!!

Christmas Cheer with Imaginisce!

Happy Thursday to you!

Today at Imaginisce we are way excited to share with you our latest new release called "Christmas Cheer"!

My first project today is a layout that was inspired the Christmas Eve pictures that I attempted to get of our boys in their "Christmas Pajamas" last year.  They were so excited about Santa and their Superman pajamas they could not sit still.

I decided to do a couple of photo collages to help tell the story.  I pieced my title together to become "Be Jolly, Merry & Bright" using a sticker stacker and one of the die cuts.  I added a holly flourish die cut using a Cheery Lynn Designs die, then some finishing touches of bling with my i-Rock of course!

The coordinating elements in this line really make creating a beautiful page so effortless!

A detail shot for you...

-------

Up next is a little card that I cut using my Silhouette.
Are you being Naughty...

or are you being Nice?  ; )

I loved the idea of the spinner with "Naughty" or "Nice" as choices, so I used my Dymo labeler to create them.  The i-Top 2.0 was the perfect anchor for my wheel.  The bow on top was cut apart from the wreath die cut.

I hope you've enjoyed my projects! Be sure you stop on over to the Imaginisce Blog to check out the other inspiration that the team has for you!  There might even be a prize involved!!!

Ingredients:
Christmas Cheer collection, Sticker Stackers, Chipboard and Die Cut elements, Imaginisce

Introducing... "Just Because"!

Happy Saturday crafty peeps!

Does it feel like Saturday to you with the holiday mid-week?  Over at Quick Quotes, we're really celebrating a bit with sneak peeks of our all new releases!!!  I'm have a page to share with you that I created using the new collection called "Just Because".

The collection is whimsical and has some of my all time favorite colors and patterns in it!  I really think you're going to be in love with it too! When I started looking through my photos it was around Father's Day and I came across this one of my hubby holding our boys when they were little.  The colors were such a wonderful match and I adore the expression that he has holding his boys!

Daddy's Boyz (12x12 page)

I started with my blue wavy background, matted with some brown cardstock, then added some circle die cuts.  The larger is a Spellbinders Grand Circle, the smaller is a Memory Box.  I inked my chipboard gear with Tahiti PowderPuff Chalk Ink, Mango Mai Tai and some Mocha Mama.

The tree is a die cut from white cardstock that I inked with Mocha Mama, Green with Envy and Mango Mai Tai to coordinate.  My photo was matted into a large lattice die cut.

I created my tag pocket with a Jillian Vance Designs for Spellbinders die and tucked in a Core'dinations tag.  That sunburst paper is so  fabulous, it's one of my favorites besides the blues!!!  My sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Vellum Quotes - Babies, Kids, Family.  I added a rub-on "Z" letter to the end of "BOY" so it would work for the page.

To anchor my design a banner strip was added.  The flash of dark orange is a cut piece of the sunburst paper, angled to piece into the strip.  The Magic Mesh tape was added for a bit of texture behind.  The chipboard stars are from the Just Jackson Glitter Diecuts.  My zig zag was cut using my Silhouette.

Ingredients:
Just Because papers, Quick Quotes
Itty Bitty Vellum Box - Babies, Kids, Family - Quick Quotes
Balloon 8x10 Chipboard (gear) - Quick Quotes
PowderPuff Chalk Inks:  Tahiti, Mocha Mama, Mango Mai Tai, Green with Envy

Ribbon by May Arts

Just Hangin' Out with Quick Quotes!

Happy Friday!!!

I'm super excited to share a page that I created with pieces from the June Club Q kit today!  It featured our Summer Samba and had such bright and fun colors!!!  These photos are of our youngest last year when he was 2.  They grow so so fast!!!

The kit included so many super cool die cut shapes to work with!  I used the white scalloped square die cut and I cut an end to layer under my papers.  I also cut the sun apart from one of the provided cuts and thought it would be fun to layer over the yellow here.  I embellished it with a flourish acetate piece and a wooden button from my stash.

I absolutely LOVE our Frosted Flourishes!  They add such a nice soft feel to a project and can help show some movement.  To add to the fun here I attached my yellow paper with a few segments of zig zag stitching.

The Itty Bitty Vellum quote that I used here felt just perfect for the page!  I used a scrap piece of black card stock and a rectangle Spellbinders die to create a very simple frame.  The black coordinated nicely with my photo mats.

Ingredients:
June Club Q - Quick Quotes
Boys - Itty Bitty Box Quotes - Quick Quotes
PowderPuff Chalk Inks - Quick Quotes

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today we take time to pay tribute to that special Mom in our life!  We honor you and thank you for being so very special to us!  For those of us who celebrate the memories of our loved ones, my heartfelt wishes to you that the memories are warm and bring you comfort.

---------

Today I have some Quick Quotes card inspiration for you.

I've mixed our One Fine Day, Dreamscape and Miss Morgan collections.
I started by using the Labels Fourteen to cut my vellum sentiment and also the backing for it.  I created the shadow layer by tracing the outer part of the die with pencil, then cut it out with my scissors for the yellow layer.

The scallop border here is a strip of plain vellum that I die cut and inked with Purple Passion and Tahiti PowderPuff Chalk Inks.  I inked on the back side and allowed to dry.  I love how it softly coordinates, yet still has a little variation of tone.

To finish it off, I created a paper bow and added the bird.

Supplies List:
Dreamscape, Quick Quotes
One Fine Day, Quick Quotes
Miss Morgan, Quick Quotes
Sentiments Itty Bitty Box Vellum Quotes, Quick Quotes
Vellum (scrap strip), Quick Quotes

A Classic Masculine Card

Happy Wednesday to you!

Today I have a vintage masculine card to share with you featuring Kanban Crafts papers.  I started this project with their 5.5 x 5.5 cream cardstock base.  For the flourishes I used our gold foil cardstock.

"Today's Experiences" (5.5 x 5.5) Card

To keep with the vintage flair and theme, I added the bottle cap.

The epoxy in the middle of the bubble cap is from the decorative strip in the card kit.  It fit perfectly in the Epiphany Round 25 tool.

Kanban Crafts has some of the nicest masculine card products to work with!   I love the vintage flair of this particular line, but of course I just love vintage anything!!!  he he!

Makin' Waves Release Party!

Happy Monday to you!

We're so excited this week to release our latest line over at Imaginisce!  It's called Makin' Waves and you're going to love the colors!!!

Last summer we enjoyed a little pool time at my sister-in-law's home and it was a really fun time to take a few photos.  I love the bright orange mats in contrast with the blue water and yellow of the float.

"Fun Makin' Waves!!!" (12x12 layout)

To bring a little motion and attention to the wavy pattern of the fish pattern paper, I stitched and left tails along the way.

I added some bling with my i-Rock on the umbrella, in the sun of my Hot Summer Day chipboard and a few sprinkled accents down in the water too.  Don't you love those Cheery Lynn Designs doilies here?  I thought they were awesome!

To create my little scuba boy tag, I used my little Martha Stewart mini tag punch.  I thought he was so cute!!!

Thanks to Becky Fleck for the inpiration of one of her March sketches for this!!!

----------

My next project is a fun card with an encouraging sentiment.  I thought so anyway...  lol!

"Keep On Swimmin" (A2 Card)

Some details:
The waves are hand cut from cardstock and I pressure embossed them.

The i-Rock, hot rocks and silver tears were used to accent the fish, crab eyes, and waves and bubbles.  I also used one of my i-Top punches to give a bit more "wave" simulation.

Happy Sunday to you!

I have a sweet little card to share with you today.  We had a birthday party for one of the girls in our kids' daycare.

I thought it would be fun to dig out the Imaginisce Enchanted collection and create a little bit!  Aren't those mirror stickers so cute?!!!

Happy Birthday Card (A2 size)

A few layers, stitching and doilies for texture:

I love the mega sunflower doily (7.5" x 7.5") from Cheery Lynn!  I used it on some scraps to create the perfect little accent here for the edge.  The Grand Calibur works beautifully on these extra large dies!

The doilies are such pretty and soft accents just tucked into the design in bits and layers, don't you think?

Steam Punk Fun!

Happy Friday to you!

I'm delighted to share my project with you today!  This features several of my favorite things all together at once!  Epiphany Crafts challenged us to showcase the Round 25 Bubble Cap on a layout in a bit of a different way.  This is my finale post as a Designer for Epiphany Crafts and I wanted my project to be extra special!

"Remember This"
12x12 page
This page features the all new Tin Type line from Quick Quotes!
(Love the Steam Punk vibe!)

One of my 3 Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Bubble Caps anchors the bird.

The starting inspiration for this design was the Core'dinations with the black and teal circles.  The size of the circles coordinated perfectly with the bubble caps!  I then used my PowderPuff Chalk Inks in Baja Blue, Lemonade, Biscotti and some water to color the Chipboard Laser Diecut bird and branch.  A bit of glitter Modge Podge was added over the top.

To soften the feel of the rich colors, I used the Mega Sunflower Doily die (7.5" x 7.5") from Cherry Lynn Designs.  To create my framed sentiment I also used their Celtic Heart die (3" x 2 5/8") over one of the Quick Quotes Alphabet Sentiments.  I wanted to add some more color and used the Vintage Settings from Epiphany with a Round 14 bubble cap.

I intertwined some raffia, punched butterflies and leaves, flowers and vine and bling to frame in my photo.  The acetate accents and tickets added a little more pop of interest and color.

Ingredients:
Round 25 Shape Studio, Epiphany Crafts
Round 25 Bubble Caps, Epiphany Crafts (3)
Round 14 Shape Studio, Epiphany Crafts
Round 14 Bubble Cap, Epiphany Crafts (1)
Vintage Settings Cabana, Epiphany Crafts

Weekend greetings to you!

Todays post brings you my project for our Quick Quotes CHA Sneak feature for the all new "One Fine Day" collection.  The Design Team was graciously sent a Grand Calibur machine by Spellbinders and some fabulous dies to play with!   Pair that up with our CHA Sneaks and well, you just have a whole lot of fun and creativity happening!!!

My "One Fine Day" project:  Sly Guy

So, these photos of our little guy being as fully "two" as he can possibly be, still really just crack me up!  The drama, the pouting, then the instantly crazy sweet coy smiling cherub face at the end.  Yep, this is him for all of his 2nd year.  The way the sign framed in "Come Follow Me" was perfect for this day.  I've got a little love note tucked behind my main photo with the story of the day.

Confession time...  I have *ahem*, well, cough...  a bit of a collection of Spellbinders dies.  They are sort of like potato chips, you can't have just one!  You'll see a variety of them on my project from sprockets, to circles both small and grand as well as a butterfly and a border.

Designers Notes:
  • For the orange cardstock border, I used the Borderabilities die and ran it through two times.
  • The Sprightly Sprockets dies were used here to continue the circle theme but with a bit more variety.
  • This paper collection has really great strips, I used them to create the vertical ribbon strip cluster.
  • I used the Standard Circles Sm dies and folded them in half to create my petite circle banner.

Va Va Va Voom - Kanban Style!

Happy weekend to you!

I wanted to stop in today to share a really fun swanky creation using Kanban Crafts.  I call this one "All About Her"!  I used a variety of Kanban products on this card that mixed together for a fun effect!

Some glitter acetate and black metallic finish cardstock along with the black damask print really gives this card an elegant feel.  It may be a bit on the "vampy" side, but I love it for something feminine and different!
Tips:
  1. The black border strip is the relief of a scallop square die cut. How's that for using your scraps?
  2. Adding a little strategic accent bling can really transform a project.  Check out her hairpiece, glove and the border.
Kanban Products:
Moulin Divas- Black PCT9878
Black Damask-Red CRD1353
Black metallic cardstock
Red Glitter Acetate

I used the Butterflies Impressabilities here to add some texture:

Here I used my Epiphany Crafts tools to create some heart buttons and clustered those with the sprocket:
