Canvas Corp Creative Crew

Greetings and Happy Valentine's Day to you!

I recently became a member of the Canvas Corp Creative Crew.  One of our first challenges as a team is to create a 4x4 canvas that represents myself.

I'm excited to share with you my creation!

I chose classic, romantic images from the Trousseau and Conservatory collections that capture my spirit as a person. I always give my 2 cents as well as love to create. The bird perched in the heart of the design represents me. Strong, free and watchful over all those things that I love.

I mixed up the strength of metal gears that keep things running with the softness of the cheese cloth along with the romantic flowers (Happy Valentine's Day - hey - it's some flowers right?!) ha!

Thank you for the challenge Canvas Corp, it's a very small canvas but I was able to mix up so many of my favorite things on it and love it!!!

Canvas Corp Items Used:
4x4 Canvas
Tattered Angels Naturally Aged Paint System Bare Metal Weathered Copper
Tattered Angels Naturally Aged Paint System Precious Stone
Canvas Home Basics Clg Stamp CVC My Art

Thanks so much for stopping on over!  Be sure to pop by the Canvas Corp blog and vote for your favorite canvas, there are some incredible creations and tons of inspiration!!!

Fun Stuff!

Happy Saturday to you!

First up, I have to share a few fun pictures of my boys.  I now am the Mother of a 5 year old!  Seriously, how did that happen already?   It's cliche to say how fast the time flies and how quickly they grow...   however it's so very true.  Not one thing prepares you for it either.

His little brother...  who is 5 tooooo! (Ok, really he is still 3.)

We all survived the big jump party and then the next day it was on to the climbing wall!  Once he turned 5, he could finally climb at the club.  Watch for a project very soon on that!  : )

I also have a fun crafty project to share with you using some Jenni Bowlin Studio papers on a Canvas Corp Corrugated 12x12.

I just love this picture of the boys Grandpa (my Dad) out on the farm in the spring.  The Seeds and Grain paper was the perfect compliment to this photo and had to be used.  I try to get a picture of the boys with Grandpa every visit  and plan to make a nice calendar for him with them.

Whenever I get a little homesick, I go to these pages and they make me feel a little better, a bit closer to home.  I think that's the comfort part of scrapping, it soothes the soul.

Hoping your weekend is fabulous in every way!  Make it super scrappity!!!

Monster Mash... Imaginisce Style!

We're very excited over at Imaginisce this week to continue to share with you

our latest release called:  "Monster Mash"!

Here are a few of my favorite images from the collection:

~~~~~~~
"Boo! Bam! Pow!" 12x12 layout
This collection is so fun to work with, the colors and adorable characters just spoke to me!   These fun photos were taken of my boys trying on their costumes from last year.  I thought it would be a fun play on the "Boo" to add a few additional phrases.
The spiderweb style doily and "Pow!" and "Bam!" were cut using my Silhouette. The sentiments that I cut were accented with Crackle Accents and Glossy Accents. A few glam rocks were added using my i-Rock to the tree's eyes and to the "Boo!" sentiment.
The mini tray was a fun little Halloween scene to create for some decor.  The boys absolutely love it and can't wait to put it out!  (I'm pretty sure they really just can't wait for the c-a-n-d-y!!!)
Ingredients:
Monster Mash Collection
i-Rock and glam rocks
Cheery Lynn Designs flourish die
Silhouette
MFT Bumpy Road die
Crackle Accents and Glossy Accents by Ranger
Mini Artists Tray by 7 Gypsies
Thanks so much for stopping on over!  Be sure to visit the Imaginisce blog for even more inspiration and peeks of this fun collection.
Have a super scrappity week!
Imaginisce and Canvas Corp!
Today is the kick off for a week full of creative inspiration between Canvas Corp. and Imaginisce!  In case you aren't aware, Canvas Corp. comprises 7 Gypsies, Tattered Angels and Canvas Home Basics brand products.
I was so lucky to receive one of my very favorite home decor crafty items, a 7 Gypsies artist's tray from Canvas Corp.! This style is a new configuration for me and the soft chocolate color made me immediately reach for my Bon Voyage collection from Imaginisce.
This is going to be a gift for my husband. These are photos of him taken on his favorite trail from back home. When we were visiting last fall I made sure to take a few shots and I'm so glad that I did. Since they were distant images, they really worked well to fit into this tray!
The baker's twine used for my tag is Canvas Corp.  The trail monument that you see was cut out and adhered with foam tape.  It coordinated wonderfully with the design of this line and is one of my favorite compartments!
I used a bit of jute and tied around one of my little photos.
There are so many things to love about the artist trays!  I really enjoy creating some dimension in the compartments, cutting apart your embellishments or photos and spreading across a few segments.  It allows you to tell a story or commemorate an event in such a special way!  Thank you to Canvas Corp. for the very generous box of goodies!!!
You will surely be seeing more Canvas Corp goodness on other projects of mine to come. : )
Ingredients:
7 Gypsies Artist Tray - Canvas Corp
Jute - Canvas Corp
Bakers Twine - Canvas Corp
Bon Voyage Collection (Papers, Canvas Stickers, Sticker Stackers and Die Cuts) - Imaginisce
i-Rock - Imaginisce
Hot Rock Crystals Compact - Imaginisce
Foam Tape and Pogo - Imaginisce
Sentiment Sticker - Melissa Frances
Adhesive - Glue Glider Pro - Glue Arts
Ink - Ranger
Make sure you stop on over to the Imaginisce Blog today and the rest of the week to check out the other amazing projects from the Designers!  You definitely do not want to miss this!!!
Have a super scrappity day!
