Perking You Up with Quick Quotes

It was my turn yesterday over on the Quick Quotes blog to share a project. I created a fun card featuring the new Chiffon collection and some of our new 2016 PowderPuff Chalk Inks.

The Chiffon collection has some very pretty soft mocha colors which reminded me of a Latte, so I used a few coffee accents here for fun. 

I used Light Moss PowderPuff Chalk Ink to ink the edge of my green layer and stamped my sentiment with Milk Chocolate and the Mahogany for the steam. Seabrook was used to ink the sentiment layer.

Weekend greetings to you!  It's been absolutely beautiful weather here today in Minnesota, I hope it's been that way for you wherever you are.

I recently picked up this cute fall stamp set and thought it would work so nicely with these papers!

I added a few small leaves in between the vellum layer of the Fishtail Frames and scattered a few around the rake and up by the flourish and sentiment for fun.

The inspiration for my card is shared by two Veterans' who are near and dear to my heart.  My brother Gary who served in the Gulf War and my cousin Ryan who served three tours in Iraq as a Navy fighter pilot.  I truly live among hero's in my family and honor their service and fight for our freedom.  Our family is grateful for their safe return.

We also remember those who have fought for us and are not here today.  To their family and friends we say a humble thank you, as words are not enough.

Quick Quotes October Club Q

I'm up today over at the Quick Quotes blog and am sharing a project created with pieces from the October Club Q Option "A" which features the all new "Stowaway" line, plus a few dies and things from my stash.

I just love the beautiful die cuts that are included in this months kit!  The "So Thankful" sentiment is so pretty and fall themed.  I loved it paired up with these photos of my boys taken at the apple orchard a week ago.  Taking inspiration from that, I mixed up the design a little bit and this is the result:

I trimmed off a bit of the overlay to make a 10 x 10 and used kraft card stock for a base.

I attached some of that gorgeous pattern vellum under the left panels.

I included a few accordion flowers and die cut leaves to the design.

I used some leaves that were cut from white card stock and added my PowderPuff Chalk Ink to them to coordinate beautifully with my page.  They are just to the right of my wine flower.  

This kit contains stunning floral and leaf die cuts.  I have a ton of fun goodies left to make several more pages or projects as well!  I'll be back later this month with another Club Q project.  What an awesome value!!!

Hang In There!

I have another fun card to share with you today.  The latest guest designer challenge is going on for MFT Stamps and I loved the sketch, so I thought I'd play along.  There's still time to play if you love it as much as I do!

"Hang in There"

• Used my flat bottom cloud die on the rounded banner stack to create a negative space cloud.
• I used the rounded banner stax dies to create a "door".  
• A Quad button is used for the 'door' handle.

Share-A-Card and Imaginisce!

Happy Wednesday to you! 

I was so excited that the gals here at Imaginisce are partnering up with such a great organization like Share-A-Card!  I created two cards, one pretty clean and simple and another featuring our Snag 'em Stamps with our Christmas Cheer Collection.

I loved the elegant look of the embossed white against the red card stock, so I used it and a cute die and layered with a bit of foam tape.  I accented the "Ho Ho Ho" with a bit of bling with my iRock. 

For my next card, I used our Rudolph Snag 'Em stamp for inspiration, colored and cut him out and layered with a few other elements.  I punched a snowflake from my little folder tab die for some negative space interest and layered a white punched snowflake on top. 

I really had fun creating these cards and hope that you'll join us in supporting Share-A-Card!

Father's Day Super Hero Mini

Happy Wednesday to you!

Today I have a fun mini album project to share with you featuring the June Club Q kit from Quick Quotes!  The kits this month feature the cheerful Summer Samba line and are packed full of wonderful die cut designs that will absolutely delight you!

I've had Father's Day on my mind the past week or so.  I don't know about you, but scrambling at the last moment for a card or gift is always very stressful for me.

The kits contain some adorable white chipboard tags that are perfect to create a Mini Album.  I decided to create a "Super Hero Dad" mini album for my husband from the boys.

I cut apart the postcard segment of my die cut and angled it.

I still have one more tag that I can add.  My goal is to have the boys add their hand prints on each side with PowderPuff Chalk Ink, then write their names in crayon on their side to complete this.  The fun part of this is to capture the spirit of their ages.  I want my husband to be able to look back on the scribbles and handprints and smile.

Since they are 3 and 4, it's a strategic endeavor only to be attempted while there is a moment of calm.  I'm hoping for an opportunity sometime in the next 4 days!  ha!  I'll let you know if I'm successful later. ; )
