Beyond the Horizon with Quick Quotes

I'm up over on the Quick Quotes blog today.  I created a card to share that I've used the pattern paper sentiment as part of my overall design. Do you ever do this?

In honor of Mother's Day I really wanted to create a card that would be suitable for Mom on her special day or serve another purpose as well. 

I started with the Baggage Claim 100 paper, then cut the "Beyond the Horizon" sentiment from it. I added a few hearts and doily behind it, then finished with the banner backing for the "Love You" sticker in the Sheer Joy collection.

Vacation Mini Album with Quick Quotes and Want2Scrap

Friday greetings to you!  I have a project to share with you today featuring Quick Quotes Baggage Claim collection and a Want2Scrap Lattice Mini Album. 

Last month Quick Quotes partnered with our friends at Want2Scrap. I decided to use my album to showcase our photos from our Mount Rushmore trip this summer.

To start, I coated each page with white gesso, then used our PowderPuff Chalk Inks to color them. 

The Mardi Gras Border Bling was a fun accent to my quote here.

My first pages, I used some scraps from June Club Q here.

I maintained the same photo mats and theme through the album to create harmony.

A few gems adds just the right extra touch...

This design is very clean and simple and lets the photos tell the story.

I cropped a photo of the main entrance monument here and used it along with a date stamp.

Quick Quotes and Petaloo Blog Hop!

I was so excited to work with the fabulous products from our friends at Petaloo!  We received beautiful florals, trim and brads to work with.  Here I've paired it with the brand new collection called "Sheer Joy" from Quick Quotes to create a Father's Day gift for my kids to give to their Dad.

I created the base shadow box frame from white cardstock with my Silhouette.  The Petaloo Fancy Trims in Shades of Teal were used for the hanger.

Once I had my design idea figured out, the fun part was layering in the Petaloo elements onto the shadowbox. I touched a bit of Blue Lagoon onto my Ivory Mixed Textured Layers and put together with a green pearl brad in the right bottom corner.

I added a few pretty die cuts to accentuate the depth of the shadowbox and I loved the character and texture that the burlap and textures from Petaloo added to my project!

Hi crafty friends, happy Saturday to you!

I absolutely love the Baggage Claim collection by Quick Quotes, so I decided to use it for a page that is not necessarily a travel page, rather it's about friendship.

True friendship travels the course of time and I found the sentiments in this collection just so wonderful and inspirational for a page about friendship.

The camera icon I've accented with a tiny flair, the other sentiments I cut banner tails onto and curled the ends for texture and dimension.

I added a bit of jute twine from the May Club Q kit to tie my chipboard tag, and a touch of bling as well. One other thing that I love about this page is that it's simplistic in its own way, just like our friendship. It lets the beauty of the papers and collection help tell the story.

The film strip is a reminder no matter where we will go, no matter how far apart we live, we always seem to pick right up where we left off. That is the wonderful kind of friend that I am so blessed and fortunate to have.

May Club Q with Quick Quotes

Happy Tuesday to you! I'm excited to share my Quick Quotes project with you today.

I created a page with pieces from the all new May Club Q kit and a few extras from my stash. Have you seen the kits yet? They feature the all new Serendipity collection and are beautiful!

Here's a sneak for you...

Here's what I created:

I've added the ruler strip from the Baggage Claim 300 paper. The splatters are Silk Paint in gold, bright blue and green to accent the color scheme against the navy blue. This page was created during a crop and one of my scrappy friends shared her paints with me. Thank you so much J!

A few enamel dots and stars were added for fun and texture. I have to say, this kit has the most amazing inspirational quotes? I grouped them together to convey my thoughts and emotions.

March Club Q with Quick Quotes!

Happy Tuesday crafty friends! It's my day to host the blog over at Quick Quotes today.

I've got a project featuring pieces from the March Club Q Altered kit and some of my other products to share with you today. I just love the altered kit this month and decided to create a home decor inspirational canvas (6x6) with it.

"Celebrate the Best day Ever… Everyday!"

I used pieces from the kit and added a chipboard ticket sentiment from the Baggage Claim collection. For my raw chipboard pieces in the kit, I prepped them with Gesso before inking with my PowderPuff Chalk Inks.

The frame bracket is inked with Khaki and my "Everyday" sentiment is inked with Tahiti and Baja Blue. My canvas was inked with Baja Blue, Caribbean Blue and Tahiti, blended together. The "Celebrate"vellum was inked in the back with Khaki to coordinate with my frame.

I just love how versatile the Baggage Claim collection is and of course, the fabulous elements in the Club Q Kits make creating something special easy and fast!

I thought it would be fun to use the collection for an everyday adventure type theme.  Our son here is giving his very first bike a test drive in the parking lot before we took it home this summer.  He was so thrilled I had to make sure to scrap this photo. 

The coordinating Stickers and Chipboard die cuts are packed full of fun ephemera style bits and pieces just perfect for layering and tucking into every nook and cranny!

The pop of reds in the collection are gorgeous and I tried to play with them for little bursts of impact.
