Color and Bling with Cheery Lynn Designs

Happy Monday crafty friends! It's my day to share a project over on the Cheery Lynn Designs blog today.

I had a little fun with a brighter color palette this week. I was inspired by our all new challenge this week and included a bit of bling to play along as well.

I love using pattern paper to create flowers, the results are always very interesting and surprising at times designs! Cheery Lynn Design dies make creating pretty flowers so easy. Here I've used the Sunflower, Shasta Daisy and Miniature Rose.

I cut the largest Tags 4 twice, once from pattern paper and a second from vellum. A simple layered stagger of the tags was a perfect place for my sentiment.

Happy Easter with Cheery Lynn Designs

Happy Monday to you!  It's my day to share a project over on the Cheery Lynn Designs blog today.

I've created an Easter themed card this week. It's coming up faster than you realize, especially when you stop into your local department stores.  Ha! At any rate, I was inspired to create an Easter themed project this week.

"Happy Easter" (Step Card)

Some details...

I started my design with the Spring Basket 2, then changed my mind.  I had it cut out with that cute bunny and I then knew I wanted the sweet bunny to be a part of the design. I've added a touch of cheese cloth here and tucked in some barbed wire behind the layer.

For the tail, I added a bit of a Q-Tip with some Glossy Accents.  Accents were colored in with my Copics.

I love that the Step Card die set has every piece included in the set!

If you love the look of an elegant card, consider giving the Step Card die set a try. It really makes creating a beautiful and unique card design an easy task.

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:
Step Card - B348
Horizon Oval Boutique Stacker Frames - DL252
XM Scallop Oval - XM8
Oval Classic Silver Stacker - M-7

Other Supplies:
3 Birds Design "Farmhouse Collection" pattern papers
Foam Squares
Glossy Accents
PowderPuff Chalk Ink - Coconut, Dusty Rose, Blue Lagoon
Memento Ink - Black
A Jillian Vance Designs - Easter Sentiment Stamp
Want2Scrap - Pearls and Bling
Zva Creative - Flourish Bling

We would love for you to join us in our challenge this week for Challenge 127 - "Anything Goes!".  You read that correctly, it's going to be so much fun!!!  You never know, you might be the lucky recipient of a $20 shopping spree to the Cheery Lynn Designs store.

Harvesting Memories with Moxxie!

Hi there crafty peeps!!!  I'm up today over at the Moxxie Blog with a project to share.

Can you believe how quickly Fall has arrived?  I just absolutely love this season for so many reasons, the crisp change in the air, the beautiful colors and apples too!  I also really love the "Shades of Autumn" collection that Moxxie has.

Our son just recently turned five and can now climb the wall at our gym.  I took all of these photos the day after his birthday.  When I printed out my collage of the favorites, the "Shades of Autumn" matched perfectly, and I mean...  per-fect-ly!  I loved that the season connection worked for this page as well.  Most of all, I love to take a collection and twist it just a bit.  Don't ever feel like you can't use a collection differently than its intended purpose.

I started this page build by selecting my vertical pattern paper strip.  I wanted to emulate the feel of the high climbing wall and the motion of the activity is represented by the leaves.  From there, I chose the contrasting colors and border punches that I wanted to use for texture.  I stitched those layers together and attached them down.  Next, I mixed in one of the Moxxie Die Cut sheets.  Now, the photo placement was determined and some ruler ribbon was added, followed by the ticket sticker strip.  (Say that three times fast, I dare you!!!)  I tucked in a calendar journaling circle to capture the date.

Then, I added my flourish die cut, pierced a few holes in between the tickets and tied some hemp and curled the ends.  The "Harvesting Memories" sticker was elevated with foam tape, then the ribbon die cuts placed underneath.  My title work was the final and fun part of this page!  I loved the "Falling" sentiment sticker.  I figured the gist of this was "Climbing Up and Falling Down".  : )  So, I played on that a bit creating my Climbing as a long vertical title.  I chose different alphas and textures to keep the page interesting.

A final touch of my favorite bling was added for the perfect finishing touch.  I cut it apart and tucked into the design.

Ingredients:
Shades of Autumn Collection, Moxxie
Mini Diecut Stack in Fall, Moxxie
Scallop Border Punch, Fiskars
Ticket Border Punch, Jenni Bowlin
Deep Edge Double Circle Chain, Martha Stewart
Kraft Calendar Journaling Spot, Maya Road

Ok crafty peeps!  I've got a fun take on the All Hallow's Eve for you today.  I thought it would be fun to use it for a fall or everyday kind of page.  Here's my page:

I took this photo while back home visiting last weekend.  I grew up on a beautiful farm and this is my favorite tree.  The fall colors are always amazing back home.

I added a few die cuts using Cheery Lynn Designs fanciful flourish and scalloped border.  Hint:  my scalloped border was white cardstock.  I inked it with Biscotti PowderPuff Chalk Ink to match the kraft envelope by Maya Road.  The leaves were all Martha Stewart Punches, the rose leaf, frond, maple leafs.  A bit of Zva Creative bling was the perfect extra touch.

To create some elegance I used a few of the die cuts in the line and cut them apart and layered.  You'd never know that they were Halloween themed.  ; )  I cut the Home sentiment with my Silhouette.

I absolutely love how this page turned out!  Moxxie makes it so easy to create beautiful pages!!!

Postage Stamp Mini

Greetings!

I'm so excited to share my stamp mini album with you that I created for my Guest Designer spot with Donna Salazar!  This is the coordinating album by Maya Road that fits into that little mailbox that I posted here earlier.  The paper line used for this project is "Antiquities" by Donna Salazar for GCD Studios.
Here's the cover:
The cover is using "Queens Bees" and was punched with a postage stamp border punch.  I included an Epiphany Crafts floral button 20 and an epoxy heart 14 on here.  There is a stamp and hanging from the binding chain is a key and metal charm with a round epoxy 14.  Love those Epiphany charms!!!

The flower is a scrunchy layererd up variety of all kinds of my scraps from the mailbox project.  There is a little River Mossy Smooch Spritz in there too.
Pages two and three, the left has an Epiphany Round button 20 and the right has a Floral button 20.  Another stamp in the upper right corner.  I'm a huge fan of crinkle seam binding and you'll see that here on a few pages.
Pages four and five.  I love that steam punk paper!  I layered a few punched flowers and created a floral button out of one of my stamps.  If you look closely it says Chicago, IL.  Page five's chandelier was accented with Sugar Shimmer Fairy Dust and it's just beautiful!
Pages six and seven.  I accented page six with three heart shaped buttons using Epiphany Crafts 14 hearts.  There is one more on page seven with a little Zva Creative bling.
Pages eight and nine.  I created a pocket for a few tags on page eight.  I've used a variety of the Epiphany buttons on here, the Round Button 20, Floral Button 20 and Epoxy Heart 14. On Page nine, I've created a library pocket and a tag.  I've trimmed it with a Round Button 20 and some Maya Road velvet ric-rak.

The grungy flower on page nine was created with my River Mossy Smooch Spritz and a few different flower dies, all scrunched up and a heart epoxy with compass directions for the center.
Pages ten and eleven.  Another library pocket and tag, and another button embellishment.  Page eleven is a fun slider pocket.  Here is what it looks like when it's closed:
The back cover:
One more little pocket with a tag.  I just love the added charm that these coordinating buttons from Epiphany Crafts added to this project.

Thank you so much for spending a moment here today with me!  Have a super creative day!!!

It's time for a Cardabilities Reveal!!!

(Please Keep Scrolling Down for the ScrapFit Reveal Too!)

May 15th, can it really be true?  Where o where has the month of May gone?  It seems like just a moment ago it was March to me.  I'm not complaining about welcoming Spring mind you, not here in Minnesota!  We're just hoping that we don't get any more snow in May!

Here's a little lift for your springtime blues if you have them.  Our third Cardabilities sketch reveal!  Here is the current sketch and trust me, you are going to lovvvvvve this!

Here is my interpretation using the April Life Preserver's Card Kit.

The papers in this kit are from the Scrap Within Reach 'Urban Garden'  line, including Crafty Secrets Stickers for the sentiment.  I added the Zva Creative bling, Prima butterfly, Diamond stickles, Martha Stewart border punches (butterflies, butterfly border and scallop).  I used the Sizzix argyle embossing folder for my base.

I hope you are having some wonderful Spring weather where you are at!  Have a super scrappity day and thank you so much for stopping by!
