ScrapFit Workout....

Have you heard?  We have a super fabulous sponsor over at ScrapFit for this workout!!!  It is none other than Nikki Sivils!  They were so kind and sent us some beautiful scrappy supplies to create with!

The workout:  Create 3 or more handmade embellies for your project!

Want to see what I did?  I did a lot of fussy cutting!  I cut out the cloud, inked and glossy accented, then pop dot for accent.  I cut the sunflower and added a bit of texture using one of the fabulous burlap buttons for the center and then I cut out the little bee at the very top of the card.  I just love how my glossy accents added some oomph and interest to these fun papers!

I love the feel of pleated ribbon, so I just used strips of paper and folded, then tucked them in layers for some more texture.  The stick pins are a simple find from the sewing section at Michael's.

Thanks so much for stopping on over!  I can't wait to see what you make!  Have a super scrappity day!!!

ScrapFit Workout #22: Fans, Fans, Everywhere There are Fans!

“Fans, Fans, Everywhere There are Fans!"  is the title of the next workout over at Scrapfit!  For this workout, we wnat to see your fans/peeps/friends.  Create a project with 5-10 pictures in it.
Part of my scrappy New Year's resolutions was to finish my unfinished projects and use stash.  I started on this fun Halloween mini album back in the fall and it just needed a little more love to be "finished".   The album and papers are from Little Yellow Bicycle.

This challenge is perfect for those fun action photos, or to push you to complete a mini that is in process, whatever works for you!  I can't wait to see what you do!!!

ScrapFit Workout #21 Reveal!

Are you ready for the next workout over at ScrapFit?  This workout is all about Exercise Machines!  Use a machine, any type of machine, Sewing, Cricut, Sizzix, Cuttlebug, you name it!  Now I want to see what you will do!!!

'This Boy is Fun, Wild & Free' layout was created using a Pagemaps sketch by Becky Fleck:
Can you tell which machine(s) I used on this project?

I used my sewing machine and Crop-o-dile big bite.  I also used some circle punches to provide the relief areas on the photos.  Initially I had flowers in the circular spots, but I decided to switch it up a bit.  Next, I  used my favorite Basic Grey Rub-On tool for the rub-ons.  I just love that thing!  I'd like to say a special thank you to the fine folks over at My Mind's Eye for the yummy papers on this, 'Laundry Line' and the fun rub-on's, etc.  I won that line from one of their challenges and the papers and embellishments are just fabulous!

Oh and trust me, with this little guy in our lives, we don't have much of a need for any exercise machines... he is a total moving machine himself!
Thank you so much for stopping on by and have a super scrappity happy day!!!

Just Do It!

It's time for a whole new Workout over at ScrapFit!  Ladies, this challenge is really fun!  Cardstock only!  Let your imagination run wild!  This is what I came up with just using my present stash of scrappy goodies:

I dug into my stash of Prima Nursery Tales and found that lovely shimmer pink and cream cardstock and recalled this awesome new flower tutorial that I had wanted to give a try.  I want to give a special shout out to one of my scrappy inspirations, Gabrielle Pollacco for this fabulous flower tutorial!  The embossing folder is the new Tim Holtz Alterations Damask.

I'd love to see what you come up with for this challenge!  Our sponsor this month is Scrapbook Circle and this is the super yummy prize:
Make sure you pop on over to ScrapFit to check out the other Design Team creations and to play along!

ScrapFit Reveal Day and a Guest Design Team Announcement!

Are you ready?  There is a lot going on in March!!  First of all, I am so excited to share with you that for the month of March I will be a Guest Designer over at Treasured Scrapbooking.  I have my first project reveal for them today in addition to the ScrapFit Challenge.

What is up for the next challenge from the FitGirls you ask?!  Wasn't the blog hop fun this last weekend?

This next workout is a little on the selfish side.  Wait, did I say that?  Yes, you guessed it, time for... an all about you page!  What does that mean?  Go on with your bad self and get your scrap on, tell your story and just scrap about what it's like to be your own unique you

The criteria is that you must include the title "A Day in the [my] Life".  I chose to use the February Featured kit from Life Preservers using Basic Grey Sugar Rush for this project.  I have to say that I have so enjoyed working with this kit!  The embellishments are amazing!

Journaling reads (because really, my life is not at all about only me! he he!!):

Snips and snails, some little boy wails
God’s holy grace
Diamonds and lace

Joyful home filled with laughter
Sweetest baby love
God shined his blessings down from above

Eyes big and blue
Action galore
Who could ask for anything more?

Angels and butterflies
A soft breeze on your face
Never doubt for a moment, this is your place!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a super scrap happy day!!!

ScrapFit Workout Reveal

It's time for a new workout over at ScrapFit!  Are you ready for "The Power of One"?

This next challenge is all about creating a monochromatic layout, but there is a catch!  You may only select pink, red, white or black.  Since I have boys and seem to gravitate and scrap blues and browns a whole lot, I decided to push myself to a complete other extreme.

I decided to choose pink, something that I rarely do.  These papers are from DCWV, Luxury Stack.  They have a very pearly finish on them and are thick and substantial to work with.

Here is a close-up:

I'd love to see your beautiful take on "The Power of One" workout!
Thanks for stopping by!!
