Everyday Inspiration with Imaginisce!

Greetings!

Today I have a cool post and fun project for you.  We were challenged over at Imaginisce to create a project from everyday inspiration.  Hmmmm...  What a fun idea!  I had done this only once before and it was really by accident, not a formal 'challenge'.

So, for my everyday inspiration, I selected the children's book The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  Currently it's a big favorite of the little guy who is 3.  In looking at the cover, I saw our i-Top 2.0 and brad daddies come to life with a variety of cool paper colors.

Here is my project:

Let's start with my Sun...

The yellow Makin' Waves paper was used, and I stamped the center of the Sun Snag' Em Stamp on it.  A 28mm i-Top punch was used to punch the shape.  Next, I used my d-Stress tool to give the edges a bit of wear and texture. I then used a circle die to give my sun the relief area so I could feature the "HI" letters in my alphabet strip.

Every caterpillar needs a set of antennae and to create mine, I use one of my favorite tools, the Fabric Petal Roller.  Simply use this tool with either florist wire or fine gauge jewelry wire and creating antennae for your butterflies or creatures is a breeze! I use this tool all the time!!!

I finished Mr. Caterpillar off with my i-Rock and silver tear glam rocks for feet.

What have you seen today that inspires you?  Sometimes the simplest things can trigger inspiration!  With the tools from Imaginisce, my inspiration really comes to life!  Be sure to stop on by the Imaginisce blog all week long for fabulous inspiration from the Design Team.

Trust me, you do NOT want to miss a day!

Mix n Match with Imaginisce!

Happy Wednesday to you!

I'm so excited that you stopped over today, as I have a fun post to share!!!  All this week at Imaginisce we are mixing it up.  What does that mean?  Taking three collections and blending them to create a project.

Now you know that a challenge like this is always right up my alley!  I went to my Hello Cupcake, Geek is Chic and Animal Crackers lines and created this:

My starting inspiration... the monochromatic blues for my background.

The flourishes are the mustache die cut from Animal Crackers cut in half.  The light blue paper of my vertical layer base is a piece of packaging from Animal Crackers as well.  The black and red of my journaling block from Geek is Chic was a nice compliment to the color scheme.

The star brads are created from Animal Crackers pattern papers and arranged to anchor the right corner of my page.

I sure loved this challenge and we would love to see what you do mixing up our collections as well!  Please be sure to share over on the Imaginisce Facebook wall!!!

March Pagemaps and Imaginisce!

Happy Monday to all my crafty peeps!  I hope your weekend was fabulous!!!

I have a really fun project to share with you today.  The ever so fabulous Becky Fleck worked with the Imaginisce Design Team this month and we were able to create with her PageMaps sketches for March.  You can see the full reveal right here!

I was assigned an 8.5 x 11 this time and I have to say I just loveeee this sketch!!!  So totally cute!

When I saw the scallop trim on this, I immediately thought of the glasses in the Geek is Chic line and a few photos I had of our oldest really goofing off.  I had been wanting to capture them on a page and this seemed just right!

I used the i-Top 2.0 and our brand new 34 mm size brad daddy here to play up my title work a bit.

A little detail shot...  (He just cracks me up!)

Be sure you stop on over to PageMaps to see all of the amazing new reveals full of inspiration for March!

Introducing the Newest Imaginisce Release... Geek is Chic!

Greetings!  I'm so excited to share some of my creations with you today using the new Geek is Chic line from Imaginisce!  This is one of my favorite collections to date, just look at the wonderful vibrant colors in this line!!!  It just screams happy and fun!

First up is a layout titled Love to Read.
You'll notice that I used my i-top and 3, 16mm brads to create my 1, 2, 3 brads respectively... so the title is "Love to Read... A to Z, 1,2,3".  I also cut my vertical paper at an angle to add some interest and to mimic the angles of the mats on the photos also.  A mini paper clip also highlights the number 3 which is how old our son is here in these photos.

This line has the cutest die-cuts, sticker stackers and journaling spots!  I can tell you that this page went together so quickly for me I couldn't believe it!!!   It sounds cliche, but really, it almost scraps itself!

For my next layout I played a little with the die-cuts to create a custom title for a non-school page.  I used my Cricut Expression 2 for the title and my Spellbinders Grand Calibur for the large circle die cuts:
I added a little wire and wrapped up one of my hearts on a pop dot.  The aqua scalloped square layer is also cut with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

My husband is so great with the kids, he loves to play with them and be goofy just to make them laugh.  That hat just cracks me up!
Thanks so much for stopping on over today!  Make sure you visit the Imaginisce Blog as well for lots more inspiration from the Design Team.  They have some amazing projects!!!

Psst..  Did I hear "Giveaway"?  They are giving away a collection to a lucky commenter!

Have a super scrappity day!
