Mixing it Up with BoBunny!

Happy Tuesday to you!

Today over on the BoBunny Blog we are showcasing a few different ideas of how to mix and match various BoBunny collections. This was really a fun assignment as all of BoBunny's collections work splendidly together!

"Cupcake Love"

For my page, I used some Double Dot cardstock and pattern papers from The Avenues, Woodland Winter and Zip-A-Dee Doodle collections. The fun photos are from a cupcake date that I took our oldest on and as you can see, he more than enjoyed his special treat!

The chipboard arrows are from Woodland Winter, the alpha and love stickers are Zip-A-Dee Doodle.

The chipboard clouds are from Zip-A-Dee Doodle, the bird from The Avenues.  I used quite a bit of Noteworthy items and stickers here. The large Woodland Winter bracket sticker on the left is tucked under some Noteworthy and fussy cut Zip-A-Dee Doodle Collage paper.

I used a glassine bag to hold my ticket from Woodland Winter and also cut one of my little clouds from it.  You'll notice a flag layer of vellum under my flags to the right of the photo strip. I just love how all of the BoBunny collections coordinate so beautifully!!!

Zippy Mixed Media with BoBunny!

Happy Friday to you!

I'm super excited today to share my project with you.  A few of us over at BoBunny have been showcasing our mixed media projects.  I have one to share with you today.

Reach For the Stars and Choose Happiness!

When we received this assignment for a Zip-A-Dee Doodle Mixed Media page, I was happy because I had just purchased my first jar of molding paste!  I knew I wanted to use some masks and put the paste to work and build texture.

It's also fun to up-cycle and add in a few things that you have already, like cardboard or fibers.  I painted mine with some gesso, then added some dry brushed acrylic paint for accent.  Then I touched the edges of my photo with the paint very gently.

The next photo shows my mistake.  I used a heart mask on an area with some inka gold metallic rub and it turned out way too dark, so I disguised it with a light coat of gesso.  It was a perfect subtle effect. The upside -- the rub worked perfectly on my Kraft Wooden Gear!

I love that there are truly no mistakes in mixed media.  Add what you like, fix what you don't.  Use staples, glue, paint, fibers, gel, you name it! I experimented with some new products and now have a lot more confidence in using those items for my next projects.

The Zip-A-Dee Doodle collection is really a perfect match for mixed media, it's really fun!

Zip-A-Dee Doodle Cards with BoBunny

Happy October to you!

We're celebrating over on the BoBunny Blog with some cards inspiration today featuring the new Zip-A-Dee Doodle collection.  It's very versatile as you will see by the variety of designs you can create using it!  I love the blues and greens with the black and white in the collection.

YOU'RE SO SWEET (A2 sized card)

I was inspired by the 3x4 and 4x6 cards in our collections.  This one is from the Zig Zag paper and I loved the soft and pretty feel of it.  I added just a touch of Stickles to accent the sugar jar and some soft scallops to frame the sentiment.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Authentic, Meow, Creative, Zig Zag/Zip-A-Dee Doodle
Chipboard: 12x12 Chipboard/Zip-A-Dee Doodle

Other:  Stickles, Bow, String, Sophia Scallop Border die by Cheery Lynn Designs.

HELLO LOVE pop-up card

Interactive cards are always fun to create.  I've stamped on the base here with Versamark using the Zip-A-Dee Doodle Stamps.  A pretty brad is used to create the pull.  This collection is so fun and whimsical, but yet has a very fun romantic appeal to it.

For anyone interested in the tutorial for this free standing pop up card, I found it here over on SplitCoastStampers. It does fold flat to mail (see below).

Mixing It Up - BoBunny Style!

Happy weekend to you!

It's my first official post with BoBunny!  We were assigned the fun challenge to mix a few lines and of course I always love a great challenge!

I decided to work with the all new "Zip-A-Dee Doodle" collection and "The Avenues".  I thought the whimsical feel of Zip-A-Dee Doodle would make for a nice contrast with the elegance of The Avenues.

I started with a circle cutout from the Zig Zag paper, layered it on top of a Medium Doily and added a pretty die cut to it.

My photo is matted with Home paper from The Avenues

A bit of Noteworthy, flourish jewels and dimensional stickers make me happy!

The black and white stripes are a sticker strip, as are the numbers and circles.

The beauty of BoBunny is that even if the collections are a bit different, the papers will still work together so nicely! We can't wait to see what you create when you mix-it-up with BoBunny.
