Moxxie Hop featuring Road to Recovery

It's time for another Moxxie Blog Hop!

You should be coming from Dana's blog.  If you don't know where to start, go here.

Join the Moxxie Muses the first Friday of every month to be inspired and for the chance to win a complete collection of the featured line! We're continuing our blog hop series this month with the Road to Recovery collection.

Moxxie released the Road To Recovery collection, an elegant and poignant line designed for people fighting long-term illnesses, in July.

Moxxie thought it was time to create a beautiful line that focused on healing, but also encouraged the writer to be honest about what they were really going through. The designs of this collection are versatile and can not only help a patient document their recovery, but it can also be used for get well, thinking of you, and sympathy cards, as well as to create layouts on just about any topic.

---------

This collection is near and dear to my heart.  The gray, light blue and buttercream colors are so comforting.  Here's what I created using this line for the hop today...

"Hope, Courage, Perseverance..."  12x12 Layout

The human spirit is stronger than anything than can happen to it.
I layered my journaling block to create some focus to the sentiment.

The chicken wire die cut represents a broken puzzle of sorts.

Thankfully, my husband is well on his way to recovery.  He is back at work and doing better everyday.  Back in February, he had a skiing accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury or TBI.  It's the equivalent of a concussion on steroids and recovery is a slow and steady process, truly a journey. I wanted to document this event as a part of our family history.

Sometimes the pages we need to do are not nice, neat and fluffy sweet. This collection allowed me to take some of "those" moments and create a memory for that part of our lives.

The very cool thing about this collection is the versatility to go beyond its purpose.  You should see the ways that the designer's have used it to create lots of other projects!  Be sure to hop through for all kinds of other beautiful ideas.
