Happy Easter with Cheery Lynn Designs

Greetings and Happy Monday to you! It's my day to host the blog over at Cheery Lynn Designs and share a project with a few of our new release dies.

My project today is a spring themed Happy Easter Card (A2 size). This card is a tent fold which I cut from some patterned paper. To begin, I trimmed the card (11" long x 4.25" wide), then folded in half.

Once I had the base prepared, I used the striped pattern section on the left to feature the Dutch Daisy Border Set #1 and cut the design vertically about 1/2" in from the left. I then cut a liner (10.75" long x 4" wide) for the inside of the card from a pretty blue and adhered on the inside.

The Grass Border was cut a few times and I attached a simple line border to anchor the basket. The extra cut was cut apart to provide some basket filler for behind the Easter Bunny.

The Spring Basket was cut, then I traced the bottom portion of the basket to create my blue liner in the basket.

I cut two sentiments from contrasting colored papers and adhered them a bit offset to create a shadow.

The Easter Bunny was cut from white cardstock, the edges inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink and some papers added to the back of the egg for interest and a few gems to brighten up his eyes. I also added a bit of vellum behind his foot for interest.

To finish the card I added one of our Pretty Pretty Bows in a vibrant color.

Cheery Lynn Designs New Release!

Greetings and Happy Friday to you!

Today is new release day at Cheery Lynn Designs and I'm super excited to share my project with you!!!

"Police" (8"x 8" Scrapbook Page)

For my page, I was inspired by the new Police - B537 die cut set and used this sweet photo of my oldest on his third birthday.

The set contains the handcuffs, police badge, police sentiment and even a police car! It's super cute for little boys or for your favorite law enforcement friends. You will also see the Dutch Daisy Boutique Stacker framing my photo.

Cheery Lynn Designs July New Release!

Happy Tuesday to you! It's an exciting day today at Cheery Lynn Designs as we have a brand new release to share with you today.

Here is my project featuring a few of the new dies.

The Top Secret Classified die is such a fun idea! I layered mine on top of the Snowflake Doily with Angel Wing. The Angel Wing cut of my Snowflake was done with some silver glitter paper. I traced around my shape of the Top Secret Classified to create a backer.

A few details….

I used the new release 'Deer In The Forest' vine here on top of the Dancing Snow Flurries cut from vellum which was attached on the diagonal. It helped keep the overall look soft.

This was a fun card to put together as I always love to use things in a little unconventional manner.

April New Release for Cheery Lynn Designs!

Happy Tuesday crafty peeps! It's an exciting day over at the Cheery Lynn Designs store and blog today, the April new release reveal is finally here!!!

My aunt and uncle recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and I thought it would be fun to use their photo along with an assortment of the pretty new dies for my project.

"We Still Do" 8x8 Page

I started by cutting the Southern Charm Valance and Steampunk Corners out of cereal box chipboard. They were coated with white gesso and inked with soft grey chalk ink. The Margarita Border worked nicely as an anchor for the bottom of my page.

The beautiful new Horizon Fishtail Banners make their appearance peeking out from under my Coved Rectangle cut along with a bit of the Double Edge Border. I folded down one corner of my Coved Rectangle for interest and texture, then stitched a few various places.

The Beautiful Bell Doily peeks out from my photo along with the very elegant new Add a Flourish. I've used the new Branches tucked in here and there. The flowers here are all brand new too! Tea Rose Small and Medium are anchored on either side of the bottom. Sweet Christine's are smaller and darker papers with pearls in the centers. Gardenia Small is on the upper right.

Decorative trim was placed on the upper right corner of the page using one of our new Arrows, on top of some Double Scalloped Border which was trimmed and scraps from one of my Horizon Fishtail Banners.

New Release Day at Cheery Lynn Designs!

Happy Friday to you! Today is a super exciting day for us over at Cheery Lynn Designs, it's New Release Day!

I love how the Cheery Lynn Designs dies are so versatile, you can use them for cards, pages or pretty much any paper crafting project you have. I wanted to use a few of the larger dies so I made an 8x8 page to share with you for today.

"2 Just Stay"

I fell in love with the Mini Playing Cards and wanted to use the "2" as part of my title. The new "Just To Say" sentiment I modified to "Just Stay...". The pretty corners of my kraft layer - those were made with the "Fancy Corner Cuts #4".

I also used the Butterflies Among the Vines Mesh Border and cut pieces of it to layer on top of the design. The Concentric Circles Mesh Border worked nicely to anchor the design. I added another strong circular piece in the Ship's Compass. That top red tab - it's the new "Sentiment Tag 2". Love how elegant the shape is!!!

The "Hinges"... swoon-a-licious!!! I just love them! Here I cut them from cereal box chipboard, left the chads in place and layered some Glossy Accents and Fairy Dust Glitter on top.

New Release Reveal for Cheery Lynn Designs!

Tuesday greetings to you! Today is a super exciting day for us over at Cheery Lynn Designs, it's New Release Day!

I love how the Cheery Lynn Designs dies are so versatile, you can use them for cards, pages or pretty much any paper crafting project you have. I wanted to use a few of the larger dies so I made a page to share with you for today.

"My Journey" (12x12 page)

I started with the Horizon French Flair Boutique Stacker, then cut my photo and mat using the French Flair Silver dies to compliment the shape. Click on the photo to see the amazing detail on the border of the Horizon French Flair Boutique Stacker, it's so beautifully done!

Next, I cut the Daphne Doily with Angel Wings in a nice pretty cream and then cut the Angel Wings from a pretty coral paper for contrast.

The Dripping Butterfly is such a fun die! I inked mine and then sprayed some Goosebumps on it to create some texture and shimmer. I love how this turned out! I cut an Angel Wing from the Small #2 Angel Wing - DL113A to use underneath. You'll see the new pretty Siena Double Edge Border in grey layered here too.

I cut a Tiny Fanciful Flourish from a Glassine Bag and used it under my cream butterfly up above the sweet little Baby's Breath and branch that was created from The Baby's Breath Flower Kit.

The grey flower is the Medium Lollipop Cutie Fringe 3. I used the Siena Double Edge Border here also and folded it into a circle shape to create a layered flower.

The Hearts 'n Gears (Steampunk Series) is so great for those masculine projects and I really loved it for this page. I added some sequins in a few places to add some texture, metallic feel and interest. You'll see a few more Tiny Fanciful Flourishes cut in blue that are tucked in with my florals also.
