Hi there! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! I was able to get out on Friday night and hit my craft night with my scrappy friends which was so much fun! Thanks girls!
Here is another creation using the absolutely delish March Featured kit from Life Preserver's and some awesome Helmar adhesives! I can't say enough about how gorgeous these GCD Studios and Shabby Green Door papers really are. When looking through them for the next project I just couldn't stop thinking about how perfect they were for a man's card. So, here's what I came up with:
Non-Kit Items Used:
- Skinny Blue Ribbon ($1 spot at Michael's)
- Organza Ribbon ($1 spot at Michael's)
- Crochet Scallop trim (Walmart)
- Prima Packaging for leaves
- 3 pearl stick pins
- 1 butterfly charm
- Walnut stain distress ink
- Flower is cut from Cricut, inked and rolled
- Helmar 450, Helmar Zap Dots and Helmar Craft Glue
After I ripped my base paper and adhered that down with Helmar Craft Glue, I then did a figure 8 with my organza ribbon and stitched it down. Then I folded it down over from the top and stitched it again to get that "double ruffle" appearance. I then pleated my paper, inked it and used the Helmar Craft Glue to secure it down to the ribbon. That Craft Glue is amazing on fabrics to paper! I held it down for a bit to set.
I also used the Craft Glue to tack my crochet trim down below my organza ruffle. I used the Helmar Zap dots in white under the first title block and the clear between that top and bottom for a varying dimension. I used Helmar 450 to adhere my Prima Rose to the middle of my flower.
I hope you are having a super fabulous weekend! Thanks for stopping by!!!
