This collection is so soft and romantic, I wanted to use this sentiment and added a few extra details with our 3x4 Ornate Frame Die to add a nice frame to my sentiment focal point.

Garden Journal Post Card Mini with BoBunny

Happy Monday to you!  I have a BoBunny Design Team project to share with you today featuring one of our newest collections, Garden Journal.

One of my favorite sheets of the collection is a sheet called "Garden Journal Post Cards" which is a lovely variety of vintage postcards. I thought they would make a beautiful mini album, I hope you like it!

The cover features some paper from the Freehand sheet which was cut to showcase the bracket design, then I punched the compass as well and adhered with foam adhesive. Some subtle stamping is included as well from the Stained Textures set.

More stamping with the stained textures on the background, then I cut a pretty frame in green from the 3x4 Ornate Frame Dies, added a sticker from the Combo Stickers and circle punched the @ symbol and layered it into the frame.

This page is so pretty on its own, I accented the design using the It is Written stamp and added a layered Chipboard sentiment to the page.

Here you'll see the Elegant Border Die used to create a pretty background for my Once Upon A Time Chipboard sentiment. A Stamp Sticker and Jewel finish the accents.

More stamping, a Flourish Die cut from the Pastel paper, the chipboard sentiment here is one of my favorites in the collection!

Here I created a vellum pocket and filled it with a few sequins, then closed it with a Stamp Sticker.

Some more background stamping here with the accent of the Film Tape from the Rose Cafe collection.  I love how all of the BoBunny collections can be used together so beautifully!

Focus on Metallic Rub-Ons with BoBunny

Saturday greetings to you! I was recently up on the BoBunny Blog with a project to feature one of our newest products, Metallic Rub-Ons, Dies and the Garden Journal collection.

I was so excited to be assigned the new Silver Filagree Metallic Rubons as a featured item for my project today! I absolutely love rubons and the way they add so much to your page without adding a ton of bulk.  The shimmer of these is simply fantastic!

I used the Love sentiment onto my photo, the Flourishes are to the left of my layers and the Doily on right right corner are from the Filagree Silver Foil pack.

My layers start with some stamping first using Distressed Textures on my background paper with Licorice Ink. Next is a scalloped rectangle Noteworthy element followed by the Film Tape from Rose Cafe. Next, is a piece of corrugated cardboard that I peeled, then added some Pearlescents in Silver, Blush and Brilliant Blue. While that was drying, I used my Love Stickable Stencils along with Glitter Paste in Sugar. I cut a border from the Elegant Border Die and trimmed to 3 sections long, then layered it under the cardboard and stitched into place.

Using my coordinating 6x6 Garden Journal Paper Pad, I cut the papers using the 4x4 Portrait Frame Dies and adhered the layers to one another. Cut it in half, then adhered to my matted photo from behind. Attached some cheese cloth to my photo layer from behind, then attached foam squares to provide a bit of dimension.

With the remaining section from the border die cut, I folded it in half and glued it together.  I used it as the heart accent in the upper left on the Noteworthy tag banner and added a pearl Jewel to it. A few Blossoms, Jewel Flourishes and a Brad finish the page.

I hope you get a chance to pick up some of the new Foil Rubons, you will really love the versatility and elegance that they add to your projects.

Layered Doily Dies with Cheery Lynn Designs

Happy Thursday crafty friends!  It's my day to host the blog over on the Cheery Lynn Designs blog today. My project is a square card.

"Hello" (5x5 card)

I love the pretty layers of our doily dies and how they add such a delicate touch to your project. Here I'm showcasing a few of our newer dies, the Royal Scandinavian Doily and the Florence Filigree Doily. The steps that I used to create this card are:
  • To start I used a 5x5 card base in white card stock.
  • Next I added the square scalloped layer.
  • This was followed by the Royal Scandinavian Doily in light pink card stock.
  • Then I added the Florence Filigree Doily with foam adhesive for dimension.
  • I cut a layer using the Horizon Circle Boutique Stacker medium die.
  • The Bird Cage was added on top.

  • Cut the Daisy Strip, misted lightly with water, shaped and formed the layers and adhered.
  • Add the Princess Tree and arrange under the Daisy.
  • Hummingbird was cut next, then cut the wing a second time and attach to behind the bird. Ink edges and attach with foam adhesive for dimension.
  • Final step is to cut the smallest Horizon Fishtail Banner and trim to fit. Add sentiment by stamping or using a rub-on. Shape and attach by tucking under the Daisy.
  • Finishing touches were to add a pearl for an eye on the Hummingbird and gems in the corners of the Royal Scandinavian Doily.
