Flowers and Butterflies with Cheery Lynn Designs

Happy Monday everybody!  It's my day to share a project on the Cheery Lynn Designs blog today.

I have an everyday card to share with you.  Sometimes you need a card to just say "Hello" or "I'm Thinking of You"…  or a prompt that says "Just to Say"...

Just to Say (5"x5" card base)

After I started with my 5"x5" card size, I discovered that the Square Horizon Boutique Stacker Frame would layer perfectly behind it!  I used a 1/4" corner rounder on my corners and attached the base to give the card a soft lacy edge.

The bird cage I cut, then I traced it onto some vellum to create a soft and pretty backer. I attached with a very fine amount of glossy accents just on the outer edge of the bird cage. This allows me to tuck in other elements if need be, like the Princess Tree or leaves.

The Primrose collection by BoBunny has these amazing butterflies in it. I used my dies on top of these butterflies and achieved a very realistic effect.

A few details...

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:

Other Ingredients:
Primrose pattern papers by BoBunny
Glossy Accents and Diamond Stickles by Ranger
Vellum
Floral Center Gems by Prima
Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives
Pink Cheeks and Java PowderPuff Chalk Ink by Quick Quotes

I played along with our new challenge for the week as well, "Flowers" (create using dies or punches). I always love how pretty the Cheery Lynn Designs dies make flowers and of course the butterflies are amazing too!

Please join us this week for the challenge, you can find all the details right here.  You could win $20 to shop in the Cheery Lynn Designs online store!

Thanks so much for stopping on over to the blog today!  Have a fabulous Monday!!!
