A Wednesday Treat!

How about some more of the beautiful March Life Preserver's Club featured kit?  I love the serene elegance of these papers from Shabby Green Door and GCD Studios so much, I thought they would work well for a special photo of mine.

This is a photo of my Father and I taken on my wedding day in May of 2006.  Historically, we do not have many photos together at all.  To me, that makes this photo ever so special of a gift.  There is a hidden journaling tag behind the photo index tab:

"What a splendid moment in time!  I adore this photo, it moves me to tears each time I look at it.  I am so thankful for you and will always treasure this photo and this stolen moment in time!  It was such a beautiful and happy day!  I love you Dad!"

Father of the Bride...   A stolen moment forever in time

I made all of the flowers and leaves on this page using the kit papers, the Cricut, my Sizzix Big Shot and embossing plates and some distress inks tossed in for good measure!  To assemble and secure them, I turned to my new favorite adhesive friend, Helmar Craft Glue!  To frame out the elements, I turned to those lovely Say It In Crystals flourishes by Prima, didn't they work out just perfectly?

I used my Helmar Craft Glue to glue down the brown ribbon on top of my crochet trim.  That glue works like sheer magic on fabrics!  I also used it to help adhere the paper and trim from the peek-a-boo corner in the upper right hand side.

Next, I used the Helmar 450 to secure the petite Prima Roses along the left side of my photo.  Note, I mounted my photo using the white Helmar ZapDots!

I finished the clustering using more of the Helmar 450 on the large ivory button, smaller button and the ticket.  Working with these adhesives just makes your projects go so smoothly.  If you haven't given them a try yet, you really should pick some up and experience it for yourself!

Thanks for stopping by and as always, have a super scrappity day!!!
