Made In America with BoBunny

Saturday greetings to you!  I hope your weekend is going well.

I have a card to share with you today featuring the new "Firecracker" collection by BoBunny. It is a fabulous patriotic themed line with so many possibilities.

"Made In America"

I used a variety of products on this card from Transfer Foil to Foil Vellum, Chipboard, Layered Chipboard and Dies.

I added a layer of the Foil Vellum on top of my Lattice Frame die cut. A few other layers to showcase the star elements, which i also repeated using some of the Gold Foil Transfer stars.

This is in gratitude for those who fought for our freedom and paid the ultimate sacrifice that we may continue to enjoy it. I am proud to be "Made In America".

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Freedom, Firecracker, Sparklers, Picnic and Celebration / Firecracker
12" Foil Vellum: Firecracker
Chipboard: Layered Chipboard; 6x12 Chipboard / Firecracker

BoBunny Page with Secret Garden

Happy Friday to you!  I have a project to share with you that I recently created for BoBunny.

It's so much fun to catch a glimpse into the creative process and how a page is created and enhanced along the way. Today I am sharing a masculine page created in three ways for you featuring the Secret Garden collection.

Beginner Level

I started my page with the more neutral background pattern paper in the collection called "Vineyard". The photo here is framed using the coordinating Chipboard frame. Using a bit of Gold Foil Dot Washi Tape and some Noteworthy die cuts, this very simple first page was created.

Next, I added in some pretty elements that I cut using our Nested Terrific Tag, Ornate Doilies and Love Squared Dies. I created my doily flower by using two cuts from the smallest Ornate Doilies of the "Bloom" pattered paper, shaped them gently and set aside. The rolled floral center was created by cutting one of the "Trellis" circle designs.

Confession time, I hardly ever visualize a project start to finish, I never know what will happen when I sit down to create. After looking at this page, it felt as though it needed more depth or layers and texture.

The first thing that I did was to add some interest with some homemade texture paste (Gabrielle Pollacco's Recipe) applied this through the Kaleidoscope Stickable Stencil. While still in place, on top of that, I applied a bit of Blueberry Glitter Paste. I liked the similar nature of the repeating pattern compared to the base paper.

Next, I applied a bit of our White Gesso using a dry brush to the layer of the Ornate Doily that is under the Noteworthy scalloped circle.

I really wanted to keep the printed patterned paper design in tact on the right side of the base paper, so I came in an inch and cut out a one inch vertical strip. I then cut the edges a bit wavy, spritzed with water and rolled them. I came up a bit short, so I ripped another piece and attached it to the left. It all measured out nicely to 12 inches and I was happy.

I added a bit of blue thread under the Noteworthy Bird and added one of the Layered Chipboard pieces under the sentiment. When I found the small "Easter" sticker in the Combo Sticker sheet, I tucked it in above the title.

Thank you for joining me here today. What are your favorite techniques or embellishments to add to your pages? Do you like more clean and simple designs or do you love the extra layers and mixed media?

December BoBunny Inspiration

Greetings and Happy New Years Eve to you!

I have a versatile home decor/picture frame project to share with you today featuring the Whiteout and Sleigh Ride collections from BoBunny. The frame shown here is a simple 4x6 wooden frame that I base coated with black acrylic paint.

My favorite Whiteout glittered patterned paper is adhered to the frame with Mod Podge. Once dry, the edges are sanded.

To accent the top of the frame opening, I chose the Noteworthy banner, trimmed to fit and attached with dimensional foam. I then added a Noteworthy paper tab behind it and layered a chipboard tab piece on top to accent it.

To the left bottom corner, I added the snowflake layered chipboard cluster and the tree on the right is added with foam dimensionals, using the small star as the tree trunk. A Jewel Flourish is trimmed apart and used to accent the tree.

This project was really fun to create and the focal point makes it perfect as a gift to give for home decor, while serving a dual purpose. The center panel can also be swapped out to showcase your favorite photo as well.

BoBunny Products:
Patterned Paper: Whiteout / Whiteout; Wonderful / Sleigh Ride
Noteworthy: Whiteout (Banner and Blue Tab) / Sleigh Ride (Christmas Tree and Little Star)
Chipboard: Layered Chipboard / Whiteout
Jewel Flourishes: Glaze Jewels

Thanks so much for stopping on over for a visit today. Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year!

Masculine Card Inspiration with BoBunny!

Happy Tuesday to you! I've got a few masculine designed cards to share with you today featuring the BoBunny Sleigh Ride collection.

When I found this sweet Noteworthy deer die cut, I knew I would use it for a card. It's such an elegant design.

"Oh Deer"

You'll see that I've used the Lattice Frame Dies on both of these cards as well as the Accents Silver Foil Transfers.

Doesn't the foil add such a fun effect? I feel like it mimics snow and ice so well in silver.

"Merry Christmas"

For my next card I used the contrast of the pretty blues and white with gray.
