Clique Kits - October Pep Rally

Wednesday greetings to you and welcome to the October Pep Rally for Clique Kits! You should have arrived here from the lovely and talented blog of Candace. If you just happened to stop on by, please be sure to visit the Clique Kits blog for all of the fun details about the blog share.

This month's challenge is "Anything Goes", which is always wonderful to let your creativity just fly.

*****

I have a clean and simple page to share with you today featuring the October Clique Kit called "Funfetti". The colors and crisp but fun whimsical designs in the kit featuring papers by Pinkfresh Studio are really unique.

"I am a Dreamer"

My printer had a little bit of a temper last week when I was trying to print project photos. This one is so cute, but the bottom colors printed incorrectly, however they matched these papers so I decided to go with it and disguise it.

I cut a few design elements from the papers out to use such as the triangle designs which are a key theme throughout these Happy Things papers by Pinkfresh Studio. The embellishments included in the kit made it a super fast creation for me.  I used some of the gold confetti, journaling card, chevrons from the alphas along with the adorable puffy stickers and wood veneers.

See - like I said, super clean and simple, which is fun to do from time to time. I also love to create pages with tons of details, but this was strictly a 'for fun' project and it was finished in under an hour. I added stitching later when I got home.

Don't forget, you could be the lucky winner of a fabulous prize just for hopping along, so be sure to leave a comment as you go!

Clique Kits - May Pep Rally!

Wednesday greetings to you and welcome to the May Pep Rally for Clique Kits! You should have arrived here from the lovely and talented blog of Kim A. If you just happened to stop on by, please be sure to visit the Clique Kits blog for all of the fun details about the blog share.

This month the challenge is "Anything Goes", which is always wonderful to let your creativity just take over.

I created a cheerful card as my project to share with you today. The colors and fun whimsical designs in the kit are really fun!

The doily started out as kraft in color, so I base coated with a bit of Gesso and dry brushed the Happy Hues Yummy Yellow paint randomly to give a little interest.

I cut several elements from the papers out to use in my design such as the tag and the circular designs, then just layered them randomly. The washi tape strips were used as accents as well.

The only non-kit items used were string on the tag, enamel dots and of course my PowderPuff Chalk Inks in Buttercup and Cherry Blossom.

Don't forget, you could be the lucky winner of a May Kit, just for hopping along, so be sure to leave a comment as you go!

Just For Fun with Clique Kits!

Happy Monday to you!

It's been a fun weekend for the most part with all kinds of National Scrapbooking excitement and sharing going on everywhere. I was fortunate to get a day away to enjoy myself on Saturday which was such a wonderful treat!

I worked on a few projects for my June commitments, so I can't share any of those projects yet.

Today I ended up at home with a sick child, so while he was napping, I was able to create a few projects to play along with the Clique Kits National Scrapbooking Day Online Crop.

The first challenge I chose was a cards with layers challenge.  I used the Clique Kits National Scrapbooking Day Kit that I had ordered for this. The die cut elements and the gold accents are really fresh and fun.

The next challenge that I chose was a stitching one hosted by Marcia.

I was working on these projects while my son was resting so I decided for this page that I would just do a few hand stitches. Notice the page corner at the top is just part of a leftover embellishment from my card.

This is a really super clean and simple design for me, but I decided I wanted to just sit at the table with the kit in hand and my photo and just put it together. I gave myself 45 minutes.

One of the other challenges that inspired my page was to scrap in a grid style which I don't typically do, but that's the point of challenges, get you out of your comfort zone and try things.  : )

Thanks so much for stopping on over!  Have a super scrappity day!

Just for Fun Friday!

Happy Friday to you!

It's been a quiet stretch on my blog lately but things are finally getting a bit back to normal, so thanks for hanging in there with me.  I'm finally recovering from my surgery, but it's taken a lot longer to get my energy level back.

I've got a project created just for fun today.  I was at a crop a few weeks ago and started working on this using a November Clique Kit that I was the lucky recipient from their blog contest.

The kit had all kinds of fun papers from Lemon-Owl and Webster's Pages and a wonderful assortment of embellishments. I used a few of my favorite Cheery Lynn Designs dies here as well and then some enamel dots and sequins from my personal stash.

Lemon Owl is a new manufacturer for me to work with, so that's always fun! The wooden sentiment came with the kit and I used my Quick Quotes Lemonade PowderPuff Chalk ink on it to give it a little pop.

I'd like to enter my project in the Clique Kits - January Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping on over today - have a super scrappity day!
