I Love This Fabulous Cool Kid!

Good morning to you and thank goodness it's Friday!  How excited are you for the weekend?

I've got a project to share with you today featuring some more Moxxie goodness!  I've used our "Chillin' Out" collection for this bright and fun page.  I have so many action photos of the boys that it felt perfect for just those images.

This line has lots of fun geometric shapes, stars and circles, so it worked nicely to add banners and arrows into the mix.

To create the "I" embellishment, I used one of the circles and punched it out using a circle punch, added a flair on top and an enamel dot on top of it again.  The two smaller tails are one Chic Tag that I cut apart and layered.  The 1 is a chipboard flag by Studio Calico from my stash.

It was fun putting this page together and having a little creative time with the titlework.  I've mixed several elements including rub-ons from the collection and of course the fabulous stickers too!  The aqua die cut helps the "Fun" really pop.

Potluck Inspiration!

Monday Greetings to you!

I have a project to share that I like to affectionately call "Potluck Inspiration".  So, the recipe for this is...  take several leftover items that share common tone qualities.  Mix it up and layer them all together in bits and pieces using a bit of Inspiration that has captured your eye or heart.

My project is a combination of five unrelated lines from Moxxie;  "Road to Recovery", "At The Beach","Wee Ones", "Hockey" and the "Mini Diecut Cardstock - Tropical".

The starting point for my project today is an absolutely amazing inspiration of a page by Cathy Harper.

I loved how the flair worked with my Chic Tag here!

The circle tab under the left photo is the double circles sticker border from "At the Beach".

This was a really fun project, I love how well the "Road to Recovery" line coordinated with the grey colors in the "Wee Ones" collection.  The aqua and blue tones really played nicely with each other.  I played on the orange a bit and thought it would be interesting to pop the colorful flourish on top for an unexpected color.

Did you notice that my background paper is from our Hockey line?  Yep, it's hockey sticks.  I tried to mix it up so it looks more like X's and O's on here.  ; )

New Beginnings with Moxxie

I had a really fun creative evening last night and am excited to share my project with you!  This week the challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Anything Goes".  I've been thinking about it all week long!

While browsing my Moxxie papers, I found my "Spring Has Sprung" collection.  This is aptly named since around here, Spring is noticeably absent right now.  I did a litte fussy cutting and a bunch of die cuts with some new Cheery Lynn dies.  I particularly adore the new mesh border!

A Little Yellow Bicycle Contest!

Happy Saturday to you!

I have a fun project to share today that features the newer Little Yellow Bicycle line called "Just Because".  It also features some of their new "Naturals" embellishments that you can now find at Michael's and I believe Joann's too.  

This is one of my favorite photos of our youngest during the summer last year and it coordinated with this line perfectly!

The white naturals flower matched this pattern paper perfectly!

I added a glassine bag with some confetti hearts.

This little bluebird is so cute!  

I layered Mr. Bluebird on a feather sticker and chipboard cloud.

Reach For The Stars!

Monday greetings crafty friends! I have a sweet little page to share with you today featuring Moxxie's all new "Reach for the Stars" line. This cute line has all of the elements to keep your space, rocket, astronomy or Toy Story fan completely happy!

I took a bit of inspiration for my page from my little boys' love of all things Buzz Lightyear. One of my favorite things to do for my pages is create a small collage featuring a variety of photos. I love how it tells the story and for my active kids, there's always some movement going on! The Moxxie flourish stickers helped showcase the movement as well.

The "Blast Off" sentiment was so fitting for his antics that I knew I just had to use it. I kept moving it around with the design and once it was incorporated it into the pattern background paper, it found it's happy home. Then, the rest of the page came together.  

Right now it seems that arrows and triangle arrows are a very happening trend.  I decided to created my own arrow embellishment here just stacking three of our triangular stickers on top of each other.

To bring some spark to the page, I added some Diamond Stickles for accents to some of the planets in the background pattern paper.   A few glitter star buttons an a sweet little alien completed the page.

Everday Life with Moxxie

Happy Tuesday crafty peeps!  Today I've got a project to share with you featuring some Moxxie goodness.  : )

Ever had an event happen and you don't really have quite the right papers for it?  I am not one to scrap anything too graphic, but our son had a bit of a snafu and earned his first stitch.  Of course I had to scrap this, but which paper to use?

Moxxie to the rescue!  They have a line called "Doctor Doctor" which is multi purpose in that it also has Dentist and tooth fairy or braces themes as well.

I've added several die cuts to the page and used my Epiphany Crafts round 25 to feature some of the pattern paper sentiments in the design.  Some Studio Calico pieces and a Chic Tag round out the extra's on here.  My corrugated circle is Jillibean Soup and the Everyday Life card is a Technique Tuesday by Ali Edwards.  

To create my journaling spot, I simply created a text box in word and sized it to fit into the polaroid frame.  A Dymo label date added a little more emphasis to the journaling block.

The good news...  he is just fine!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's greetings crafty friends!

Today over on the Quick Quotes blog we are celebrating Valentine's Day in a big creative way.  The entire design team has created beautiful cards, so be sure to stop over for some wonderful inspiration!

I decided to use the new "Dusty Road" collection and a few of our new Powder Puff Chalk Ink colors to create a masculine card.  I just love the honeycomb pattern in this collection!  The papers here are from the all new 6x6 paper pad.  Quick Quotes is so clever, they included in the pad a few pages that have Quotes and journaling spots as well!  That is what was used for the sentiment banner.

Our new Coconut PowderPuff Chalk Ink:

Wow - do I ever love the contrast effect of the white chalk ink on darker paper! I also used our new Plum Crazy PowderPuff Chalk Ink on my sentiment banner and on the strip of bike path.  The bike was cut using a Memory Box die.
