January Club Q Re-Mix

Happy Wednesday to you!  It's my day to host the blog over at Quick Quotes.

I've got a page and a few helpful tips to share with you today.  I've created my project with pieces from the January Club Q - Page Layouts Option A and a few other items from my crafty desk.

"Baby, It's Cold Outside"

Tip #1:
The title for this page comes as a die cut, simply punch out the pieces. To help in the inking process I ran the title through my Xyron 250 Create-A-Sticker:

This gives the words a nice easy stable background for inking.
Plus, now they are ready to adhere onto the shadow pieces too!

I then inked from the bottom to midpoint using Baja Blue and touched from the top down
with Plum Crazy PowderPuff Chalk Inks. You can see the results below.

Tip #2:
Use your die cut reliefs to make a stencil.  Here I used the snowflakes relief to create this background design with a bit of Pearlescent Embossing Paste. Once you apply it, remove the stencil, then use your heat embossing gun to set and dry.

Once dry, I used a Q-Tip and applied touches of Tahiti PowderPuff Chalk Ink and Plum Crazy PowderPuff Chalk ink to the snowflakes sparingly, just to give them a little magical glow.

All the snowflake shaped bling, bling and metal trim piece are part of the kit!

I used foam dots to elevate my title work.  I cut the "O" from Outside
and elevated it, but pasted the rest flat.

I hope you're staying warm wherever you are!
