How's the start of your weekend treating you? Are you relaxing this weekend or planning to kick it around California somewhere in the midst and mayhem of CHA? If you're coming to CHA, I hope I get the opportunity to say hello into you!

Today's post is one of my favorite challenges and products too! Epiphany Crafts challenged the gals to create a masculine Valentine's Day card. I used the Yours Truly line from Echo Park for my creation. Thank you Echo Park for sending these gorgeous papers!!!

The heart shaped papers fit the Shape Studio Heart 25 and the Button Studio Heart 20 perfectly!

I used my MyStik adhesive to put this card together! Love it!!!

This collection has such elegant designs and a wonderful vintage flair!

I hope you enjoyed my little card today, it was so much fun making it!!!

A Fun Introduction!

Thursday greetings to you my crafty peeps!

Today is my Design Team introduction day over at Imaginisce! Pop on over to their blog for a few moments and you'll be privvy to some tidbits about Rhonda that you probably don't know.

Now don't laugh or throw darts please (ha!), but I managed to snap a new pic right after Christmas for this blog event using the self timer feature on my Rebel. That was fun and I'm definitely going to look into getting the remote control for it next!

Va Va Va Voom - Kanban Style!

Happy weekend to you!

I wanted to stop in today to share a really fun swanky creation using Kanban Crafts. I call this one "All About Her"! I used a variety of Kanban products on this card that mixed together for a fun effect!

Some glitter acetate and black metallic finish cardstock along with the black damask print really gives this card an elegant feel. It may be a bit on the "vampy" side, but I love it for something feminine and different!

Tips:

The black border strip is the relief of a scallop square die cut. How's that for using your scraps?
Adding a little strategic accent bling can really transform a project. Check out her hairpiece, glove and the border.

Sole Sisters Release Party!!!

Can you feel the excitement in the air?

I sure can and all of the gals over at Imaginisce are super excited to share with you our latest collection!

Sole Sisters

When I took a look at the all new Sole Sisters collection, the only photo that came to mind was of course, the one of my best forever friend! We had such a wonderful time shopping for our dresses for Spring Formal and the entire evening was magical. I am so grateful that we ditched our dates for a minute and got this photo snapped of us together, because there aren't that many photos of us together from college.

I love how the different styles of shoes represent that we are different, but so very alike!

I used my i-Rock, heart gem, and coordinating color gems to pop the colors. A bit of maneuvering makes the handbag hang from the corner of the frame. : ) I also used the frame diecut and filled it in with some fussy cut flowers from the collection.

The next project that I created was to take the collection and spin it a bit. This is an Anniversary gift that I created for my husband. I thought it would be fun to use the sentiments here in a different way:

"I Pick You... Forever"

The frame here is by Kaisercraft. I thought it lended the shape nicely to a wedding feel with these pattern papers in the collection, aptly named "I Pick You". Gotta love it when that happens! he he

So you all know the d-Stress tool is one of my favorite life-saving tools for Altered projects, right? For projects like this, it's such a fabulous go-to, hands down! See how nicely it finished my edges? Seriously, if you do any frames or altered chipboard, etc., you need one in your life!

I used the canvas flower sticker, layered it on top of an accordian flower and another punched scallop for some interest. Tucked in a few leaves to bring the flower alive.

There aren't many projects that don't get a visit from my i-Rock either. It makes everything just come alive! Check out the tiara - I added the tiny little hot rocks from my multi case for it.

I had to do it! The cliche~ Purse Card

Ok, so I didn't want to be predictable, but this was too perfect to let it go. lol! I've used my canvas sticker here from the collection along with my i-Top 2.0 and a 22mm brad daddy for the closure. I filled in the white space with a red copic on the canvas sticker.

A few embellishing gems in fun colors with the sticker stacker finish this cute card up! This shaped card inspired by Kelly Panacci. Thanks Kelly, I just love it!

Valentine Grunge Blog Hop and Challenge!

For this challenge, I used Jillian's "Sending My Love" set of stamps. How completely adorable are these?!!!:

The Echo Park papers "Yours Truly" were the perfect choice for this fun project! I've also used the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio tools in Heart 25 tool and Oval 25. The Heart 25 and Oval 25 Bubble Caps as well.

Adding a little ink and tears gave the right amount of grungey masculine appeal to the card. One fun find... the Epiphany Crafts Heart 25 tool is a perfect fit for the heart pattern paper. The oval tool was a perfect fit for one of the sentiment blocks too! I used the key stamp in the center for a fun vintage flavor.

The XO heart was created with the heart stamp with Red StazOn ink and the XO from the Sending My Love stamp set. That's my project for today, thank you so much for stopping by!

I've got a quick fun card to share with you that I created for Kanban Crafts. It has a variety of fun products that I used and was such a pleasure to create!

I have to say, I love the little ball trim on the cloud! he he!!!

The puppy is colored with my Copics (be kind, I have not yet taken any classes!). I tilted the puppy a bit and my frame so that it would fit. I also colored in the white polka dots for the frame with my Copic marker to coordinate the project. The sentiment stamp is also from the set as well.

CHA Sneak Peek at Summer Samba!

Happy Saturday greetings to you!

Quick Quotes CHA Sneak!

Happy Monday crafty friends!

I'm super excited to share my Quick Quotes project with you today! All this month over at the Quick Quotes blog, we are featuring some new CHA sneaks. Spellbinders sent the team each a Grand Calibur and a variety of current dies to play with. Needless to say, I've been having a blast playing with these!!!

The Dreamscape line features some rich jewel tone colors. I love that although the colors are so vibrant and rich, the tones and feel of this line is very soft. For my project, an artists tray was used to create a special home decor piece.

Kanban Clean and Simple

Tuesday greetings to you!

I have a few final holiday creations to share with you today using Kanban Crafts. The inspiration for these designs are those stunning trees and Kanban's pearl finished cardstock. The feel is so crisp, I just love these!

For this card, I punched a few snowflakes from the card base and decorated the relief with some Imaginisce gems using my i-Rock. Another snowflake punched from the Textile Collection acetate is layered with a snowflake.

So I had all of these cute scraps on my table... what's a gal to do? Make a few little giftcards and tags of course! These were fast and so much fun to put together.

Imaginisce Challenge!

Happy New Year greetings to all of my crafty friends!

It's time for a new monthly challenge over at Imaginisce! This one was a slam dunk for me as living in the climate here in Minnesota is all about this!

"Winter Wonderland"

My interpretation for this challenge:

The inspiration for my gift bag was the snowman, or as I refer to him, Frosty. I knew I wanted to create Frosty, pieced from the various sizes of our i-Top punches. Once I layered the punches from the i-Top punches in various sizes, I felt the centers of each layer really needed some depth. I used the all new i-Top 2.0, XL, L and M sizes for my brads.

Some cardboard dry brushed with pearl white paint made my backdrop and as I had leftover paint, I dry brushed it onto Frosty as well, that worked out spendidly! His face is a Peachy Keen New Years face.

As you can probably guess, the Bon Voyage collection is what was used for its vintage timeless flavor. Oh, and Frosty's hat, that's a canvas car sticker from the collection! The snow on the edges of the cardboard is a Viva Decor pearl pen. I've stamped using Versamark, A. Jillian Vance Design snowflake stamps and sentiment and some Fairy Dust Glitter onto the postcard. The arms are stick pins by Maya Road. Snowflakes are Martha Stewart punches.

Of course, my handy i-Rock was used to add some snowflake glitter and crystal sparkle as well.

Happy New Year!!!

It's always so fun to ring in a brand new year, a fresh beginning to another adventure! It's also a time for reflection as we prepare ourselves with goals and ideas for a whole new year.

In traditional reflective fashion, here are my "Top 11" projects for 2011.

I had to leave one of my favorites off as it's currently out for publication. I'm sure I'll scrap that later!

Kanban Creations to Share!

Happy Friday!!! Are there any sweeter words? I'm sure vacation comes to mind if you are fortunate to be on it right now! This time of year is so much fun with the extra days off here and there and all of the festivities, isn't it?

Today I have a few fun creations to share that I made with my Kanban Crafts products.

First up, is Percy the penguin. He is a wobbler and was so much fun to create!!! I cut a section of his hat and slipped his hair through. I also added some i-rock gems to bring the design to life a bit.

Isn't he fun? My kids love to rock him and see him wobble and move!!!

The irony of this card is that here in Minnesota, we currently have NO snow! I can hardly believe we are heading into 2012 with no snow on the ground!!!

It's always fun to mix things up so of course I had to create a pretty card as well!

I added some extra trims, adhered my die cut shapes and sentiment block with foam tape for a little dimension. A simple string bow added a lot of interest for the sentiment block.

New Years Inspiration!

Happy Thursday to my crafty friends! Two more sleeps until 2012, are you ready?

Imaginisce challenged us to come up with something inspirational for New Years. I thought about it for a bit and this is what I came up with:

For this project I used our Bon Voyage collection for its rich tones and elegant feel. The black flourish of i-rock gems and the i-top covered in ribbon and tulle give a bit of movement and texture.

To commemorate 2012, I stamped the year using my A. Jillian Vance Design stamps and used Versamark and white embossing powder to keep the design subtle.

A few additional black gems were added into the black rose trim.

A Special Ornament!

Wednesday crafty greetings to you!

I’m excited to bring to you a fun little project today that I created with my December Quick Quotes Club Q kit.

I thought it would be fun to mix up my projects a bit and create an ornament for the tree! Every year I create a few ornaments that are special to me for our tree. This is my Quick Quotes ornament for 2011 featuring my two sweet little guys. : )

To create this ornament I used the Tim Holtz Accordion Flower die by Sizzix. I created two and sandwiched them together. The cute little gingerbread men are stamps by A. Jillian Vance Design and represent my kids. I colored them with my Copics.

I added a layer on either side of a punched snowflake. Using my Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Bubble Caps and Metal Charms were a perfect accent and provided a wonderful way to hang the ornament!

I punched holes through the center of the snowflakes so my hanger ribbon could be threaded.

Here is the flip side. I just love that sweet gingerbread man! A little Diamond Stickles on top of my snowflake and voila~!

Christmas Inspiration!

Hello there and Friday Christmas Eve eve greetings to you!

Do you ever get inspired by a photo, but aren't really quite sure how you might use it? Well, that's what happened to me with this project that was created for Imaginisce!

This started out as a photo frame from an old clock kit that I found on clearance at Tuesday Morning for 9 dollars. It had a clock and 2 coordinating frames in it. This is the only frame that I have left. When I removed the chipboard topper, it became a shadowbox and my idea was born!

Quick Quotes - Verry Merry Indeed!

Happy Wednesday to you!!! I have a fun Quick Quotes card to share with you today.

I am so excited to share with you a creation using our latest new line “Very Merry” from the December Club Q Kit! The line has gorgeous colors and wonderful holiday design elements.

I was so inspired by one of our top 3 challenge winners, Anniebee and her pretty wreath that I thought it would be perfect with one of the circle embellishments from the kit!

Some details for you:

Techniques Used:

I used the red circle embellishment as the basis for my wreath.
Using a couple of snowflake punches, I attached them on the top and the bottom of the circle with some 3-in-1 glue.
Attached some pearls included in the kit, then a few other coordinating gems.
Stamped my sentiment using our Midnight Confessions PowderPuff Chalking Ink.

Epiphany Crafts - Happy Holidays!

It's a celebration of the season over at Epiphany this month! We are so excited to feature our Shape Studio Star 25 Tool this week!

If you look closely, you will see that I used some snowflake stamps on top part of my box, then embossed with some crystal sparkling embossing powder. I also did this to my tag on the blue pattern paper.

The papers that I chose from Quick Quotes have this beautiful spark of light in the pattern which worked in harmony with the star shapes. The sentiment stamp set from A. Jillian Vance Design was the perfect compliment to the design! They coordinate with the Epiphany Round 25 Bubble Caps. I am going to tell you right now, these stamps are addicting in a very fun way!!!

To create the box, here are the instructions that I followed.

I started with a 9x9" square piece of pattern paper. I used my border punch to add a pretty star themed border. To align my pattern I punched the middle piece as shown below, then used it as a template on my side flaps to trace in pencil the pattern to punch. It worked perfectly!

Using the Super Crafty Tape by Scrapbook Adhesives, secured the box edges together: This tape is absolutely perfect for projects just like this!!!

I used the "My Stick" adhesive to create my tag! I love how you can pivot the angle of this adhesive to work perfectly for your hand!!!

Hippity Hop!!! It's a New Release!

Tuesday greetings to you! Is the reality of winter setting in kind of a bummer to you as it is for me? Do you need a bit of a "pick me up" to your day?

Check out the Imaginisce Blog because baby it is hopping SPRINGTIME all over!!! It is our big release party for the spring line, Hippity Hop! We hope to inspire you all week and of course give you a chance to win your own HIPPITY HOP COLLECTION! Be sure to follow along all week long!

Today I have a couple of fun and cheerful Hippity Hop projects to share with you! First up, "Spring Time Pajamas" layout:

A few details for you:

I added some stitching on the page and layered one of our "Gotta Have It" sheer pink flowers under the die cut for some pretty texture. I love to use Pink on my boys pages!!! Of course, I also love to add a bit of bling with my i-Rock tool as well. I used it for my bird's eye and on the floral die cut.

I added a hand stitched circle to the page and altered my stitch colors orange and yellow, every other one. A touch of my Copic marker to my clear i-Rock bling custom coordinated my gem to the green script titlework.

My next project was just such a happy discovery! I purchased some treats from a school fundraiser and the packaging was so cute, I thought, well let's take it apart and see how it's done! I'm sure someone, somewhere has made these too, but this was new to me.

Here's how it started out for me:

I traced the deconstructed template on top of my paper. Trimmed the paper to size, then used my craft knife to cut out the "kite" shapes from the back side of my pattern paper.

Following the example of my inspiration, score the kite shapes on point as shown all the way top to bottom.

Turn the template and score the two lines on point as shown at the center point of the kite shape.

Fold all the horizontal lines to achieve your containers shape. Ink edges if desired. Use a strong adhesive tape to adhere the quarter lip after aligning to the opposite side. Now you can gently push the ends in toward the middle and you will see your shape appear nicely.

I used some pretty seam binding crinkle ribbon to tie mine. Aren't those die cuts the cutest?!!!

Quick Quotes December Club Q!

Have you checked out the new Quick Quotes Club Q kits for December? They feature the all new line "Very Merry"! These papers are just perfect for capturing those holiday memories or creating striking cards or tags.

I chose to get a little jump start on my Christmas tags for my projects today. I think it's fun to have a few "extra special" tags to spruce up those gifts that you spend a lot of time selecting! I used an existing tag that I had to copy the size/shape.

Techniques Used:
I cut Santa out from the papers and pieced a "chimney" for him to peek out of. I loved how his finger was pointing so I figured the tag needed to say "No Peeking". he he! I added a little flower soft along the top of the chimney and some glitter to the flourishes. All pieces were inked with our PowderPuff Chalk Inks.

Here is my second simple tag, "Tis the Season".

Techniques Used:
I used my stub corner chomper for the corners. The red layer has a star relief punched out from another project, then I layered a snowflake on top of it. I stapled my sheer ribbon for some interest. A few acrylic snowflakes added extra texture and interest. This was a really quick tag but still very fun. The bells? Those were a clearance find from the wedding section at my local Michael's.

Brr! Winter has Arrived!

Happy Wednesday to all of my crafty friends!

I don't know what the weather is like where you are at, but baby it's COLD outside here in Minnesota! The winter weather certainly hit home last night when it feels like about 9 degrees Fahrenheit.

What's a gal to do with that winter inspiration? I decided to make a few Kanban Crafts cards! I am just in love with their quality papers, not to mention their absolutely beautiful designs!!!

Decking the Halls... Imaginisce Style!

Holiday Greetings to you my friends!

We are in the Holiday spirit at Imaginisce!!! You know what they say about these things, it does become infectious so don't say I didn't warn you... he he!

Today's Deck the Halls post over at Imaginisce is all about Christmas Card inspiration. You all know how much I adore cardmaking! I decided to create a fun easel card so I could display some Holiday spirit at work. (For a wonderful easel card tutorial, from Beate Johns at SplitCoast Stampers click here!)

Designer Notes:
I've accented this card with a bit of bling using my i-Rock and some jewels. Last year I found that gorgeous large acrylic snowflake from the Cottage Christmas collection by Imaginisce and it seemed like the perfect fit for this card.

Mr. Snowbird was trimmed out from one of the "Santa's Little Helper" sticker stackers.

To create the "door stop" part of my easel card, I simply attached the sentiment die cut with some of the foam tape by Imaginisce. It worked perfectly!

Greetings to you on this fabulous first day of December!

I'm very excited for today's post because it is a fun challenge over at Imaginisce!!! Cari found the most amazing color palette and asked us to create using this as our inspiration:

Coincidentally one of the teachers at our Preschool asked me the other morning if I would have any use for this willow Christmas tree she had. I took one look at it and thought --- perfect for something fun!

Want to see what I did with all of this inspiration? Our kids are young yet and the oldest absolutely loves candy and treats. I decided that an Advent Tree would be easier for us to manage for the boys right now. I used the adorable "Santa's Little Helper" line to coordinate with the color scheme:

To give you some context of the scale, this tree is over 2.5 feet high!

Here are a few pictures with the lights on. Hopefully it gives you an idea of the effect. Every day starting today, the boys will pull a tag counting down until Christmas day. I will get them their treat and we will put their tag into a jar. : )

Techniques used:

Cut 6 pockets from 4 different card stocks for a total of 24 pockets using a Provocraft pocket die
Punch 24 tags from the "Santa's Little Helper" papers by Imaginisce using Marvy Uchida punch
Decorate pockets using Chipboard elements and Sticker Stackers from "Santa's Little Helper"
Cut apart the Sticker Stackers dimensional decorations so the scale works to the pockets.
Use a variety of trims including baker's twine, hemp, seam binding ribbon and ric-rak for added texture.
To create the star; Cut two stars using the largest Spellbinder Star Die, then score them to create dimension. Carefully glue together using a coffee stir stick for the stem.

Tips:

If you happen to find one of these trees, you will definitely want to use our i-rock LED lighted tweezers like I did to help you thread your trims through and tie.

It's created from the November Club Q kit and features their new paper line "Copper Kettle". This line is elegant and timeless, featuring stripes, clocks and musical note patterns.

What I find intriguing about this card is how the mix of all these fun and elegant patterns created a very unique style! This almost takes on the feel of animal print at first glance, but it's definitely not!

A New Way to Embellish!

Thankful greetings to all my crafty blogging friends!

You can almost feel the excitement in the air over at the Imaginisce blog this week! Why? We are debuting the i-Top 2.0! Check it out:

The very fun thing about this new tool is that there is now a new even larger size carriage to accomodate the new 34mm brad daddies! Of course I had to give the new big size a whirl! Here is what I created using our Happy Harvest collection:

Some details for you:

I created these fun treat tubes using SRM's short treat tubes and filled them with Reeses Pieces to coordinate with our Happy Harvest collection. Our new 34mm brad daddies were used as the toppers over the tulle Fashion Flowers by Imaginisce. I thought that was a fun effect!

The canvas stickers from the collection were the perfect size to embellish the tubes. My boys and their cousin are going to love these little treats on Thursday!

A few new and improved features of the i-Top 2;

There are rubber edges that help to hold the brads in place as you work.
Each of the edges is marked with the size as well - no guesswork!
Lighter in weight, a bit better fit to your hand.
Another feature I love is that you hear the "click" when the brad has assembled.

Friday Challenge at Quick Quotes!

I'm so honored today to share that I'm hosting the next challenge over at the Quick Quotes blog! Please be sure to stop on over and say hello!

Here's my project using the October Club Q kit featuring the “Giving Thanks” line by Teresa Collins. I started with this fun harlequin shape template and my Mango Mai Tai Chalk Ink and created the diamond pattern. Can you take a guess as to what the challenge might be?:

I layered the elements using the pre-cut laser pieces from the kit for my layers under the photo and for the scalloped photo corner.

Here is a detail image for you. Notice that although a lot of white space is used, the layers are enough here to be very interesting in the overall design. I loved how the orange gems from the kit fit perfectly into my harlequin shapes!

The Challenge?: White Space! This is near and dear to my heart because I adore the look of pages that incorporate a strategic use of white space! I decided this would be a fun design style to focus a challenge on. I hope you agree!!!

Techniques Used:

The harlequin pattern was first masked using a template and the Mango Mai Tai PowderPuff Chalk Ink.
I added a little bling and ribbon for some texture and just played around with the layers a bit.

Imaginisce and Glue Arts

Happy Wednesday to you!

What do you get when you mix things up between two fabulous companies? A blog hop between those companies as well as some fabulous inspiration!

The very generous folks over at Glue Arts sent on over some of their amazing products to the Imaginisce gals to play with. In return, Imaginisce sent over some of our fun papers to the Glue Arts team.

I wanted to share with you the altered frame that I created with the Bon Voyage collection by Imaginisce and my Glue Arts adhesive products.

I love this photo of our youngest guy when he was around 18 months. This was a super hot day in August at Grandpa's farm. That look on his face and those rosy red cheeks make me smile!

After I base coat painted my frame navy, I then attached my plane pattern paper. Next, a die cut plane and cloud were attached using the U Cut It foam and Raise n's to vary the dimension.

The collage on the lower left began with the Tourist Class sticker stacker. I covered one of our new 34mm brad daddies with the compass paper. I added some U Cut It foam on the brad and Raise n's on my "Arrived" chipboard to vary the heights to work with the dimension in the Sticker Stacker.

The collage needed a little more interest, so I wanted to add a few of our Roly Rosies to it. The PermaTac Mini's were perfect to attach them!

Greetings to you my dear blogging friends! Can you believe we are already at the mid point of November?

I've got fun project to share with you today featuring the fabulous November Club Q Kit from Quick Quotes! It features this amazing line called "Copper Kettle". A few words to describe it; timeless, classic, romantic, vintage and elegant. You'll see what I mean, but when you mix clocks, musical patterns and stripes with this rich color palette, well it's just an absolute winner!

The November Club Q - Canvas Kit

I took this fun photo of our son during a break at the apple orchard. There’s something so carefree and nostalgic about the look of it with the barn in the backdrop. When I saw the quote on this page, I felt it suited this moment to perfection! Time stands still for no one. My little boy is not so “little” and every one of these moments is truly a gift!

Techniques Used:

I decided to frame the quote out by tearing my other paper layers to compliment the shape and draw attention to it. A bit of distressing on that layer helped the feel as well.

You’ll notice a partial frame under my photo in black. One of the black cardstock laser cut frames from the kit was used and trimmed to fit.

The kit also contains an elegant acetate overlay with swirls on it from Creative Imaginations. I’ve used a bit of that to soften the roman numerals on the bottom of the page with some ribbon to help disguise the transition line. Of course some more of those beautiful Petaloo flowers coordinated perfectly with the vellum flower from the kit too. I used my Copic marker to deepen the color of the brad.

Don’t be afraid to get a little scrunchy with your vellum flower pieces! I thought it added some fun charm to the look of them. I inked the pieces after crinkling them up a bit.

Thank You Veterans!

In honor of Veteran's Day, the girls over at Imaginisce were challenged to make a card. Like many of us, my family has several members who have served in the armed forces. As a matter of fact, I was actually born on an Air Force base.

The card that I made is in honor of my cousin Ryan who served three tours of duty in Afghanistan as a navy fighter pilot, a true "Top Gun". Not only is he a brave American hero, he is a wonderful husband and father to three. He has a fabulous sense of humor too.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Bon Voyage Collection, i-top & 22mm Punch and 1 brad daddy, i-rock tool & 3 mirror Glam Rocks, black Foam tape), Thank you sentiment (Bazill), Sending a Hug sentiment (American Crafts), Glue Glider Pro adhesive runner, Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), Kraft cardstock (The Paper Company), Other: sewing machine, thread and hemp

I used the Bon Voyage collection for my card as it had the perfect plane! Now I realize it's no F16 or equivalent and for that I apologize Ryan, but I still think its pretty cool. Aren't those sticker stacker's cool? I also used some of our foam tape in black under my "Thank You" cloud.

Today I also say a very humble thank you to my brother Gary for his brave service during the Gulf War. I also remember my Father, Grandfather and Uncles who served this country. God Bless all of our brave men and women who put their lives out there so that we may live in this country with all of our freedoms.

Thursday greetings to you my blogger friends!

Today's project that I get to share with you was so much fun to create and for many different reasons! I am excited to share with you my first ever home decor banner featuring Epiphany Crafts and the Shapeabilities Round 25 Bubblecaps!

I thought this fun line of papers from Teresa Collins was just perfect for the project and made me think "Thankful". This time of year invokes those reflective thoughts and I wanted something special in our home to represent that.

So, I got to work with my Spellbinders Grand Calibur and several dies. There are some fun layers on here. A bit of detail for you:

Pay very close attention to the sentiment font bubblecaps on here, they were created using these absolutely fabulous stamps from A. Jillian Vance! The monogram as well as the font. Isn't that just beautiful? The possibilities are endless! I simply used white and black cardstock and contrasting ink and embossing powder.

If you have our Round 14, Star 25 or Round 25 tools, you definitely want to make a stop on over! You'll be amazed at how you can completely maximize your Epiphany Crafts tools in ways you never even thought of yet!! (That's because they already did that hard work for us! *wink*!)

Kanban Crafts Debut!

Today is a fun and exciting day for me!

I get to debut my first couple of projects for Kanban Crafts! When I first received my design box of goodness from Kanban, it was like an explosion of all things beautiful. You can't even imagine the quality of these products until you get them in your hands!!! The cardstock has this beautiful finish to it.

The first design that caught my attention was this adorable "Coffee Shop" set!

Of course I added my crinkle ribbon and some elegant trim. You'll also see my favorite Imaginisce i-Rock bling on the bottom and one of those super cute pink metal hearts! Stick pins are Maya Road. The layer was created using one of my Spellbinders dies. The clouds and the flower on top are MFT dies. A bit of stickles on the sun and in the clouds was the final touch.

For my next project, I wanted a create a card for a friend. You can never have too many of those right? I found the colors here to be so gorgeous!

I used a bit of my ClearSnap Smooch Spray on a simple white doily and layered it behind my table and it worked so nicely! My button? Created with the Epiphany Crafts Button Studio Round 20 and some of the coordinating packaging paper. A bit of my favorite crinkle ribbon finished this card up so nicely!

Hello there! Can you believe we are already into November and Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching us? I sure can't!

I wanted to share with you today a fun little card that I created using the Quick Quotes Club Q October kits. They feature some stunning Teresa Collins papers!

I wanted to create a Thanksgiving/Fall themed card with the very elegant papers from the kit. To play a bit with the elegance of the papers, I include a bit of black tulle. I attached it with some staples, then melted the top ruffles just a bit with my heat embosser.

One of the small black laser cut frames was the perfect size to create my sentiment block. Once adhered to the paper from behind, I attached it to the base using foam dots.

Aren’t the patterns and swirls in this line just beautiful? I tore my itty bitty quote vellum, then inked the edges with Mango Mai Tai.

Happy Halloween!

Hope you are having a wonderful Halloween!

I wanted to share this fun little Halloween card that I created using some of Nikki Sivils "Boo-tiful" collection. I cut out a few of her fun shapes and used my Epiphany Crafts Shape Studios round 25 bubble caps and charm for the sweet little spider.

Behind the charm is a black rose trim from American Crafts that I've nested him into with some black hemp and a purple safety pin.

I had to pick up the Martha Stewart Halloween edition deep fence punch and I layered some paper behind it. A little bit of stickles helped finish the border of my sentiment and Mr. Bat's eyes.

Epiphany Crafts + ClearSnap = Yumm-O!!!

I'm so excited today to bring you a couple of projects featuring some of my favorite fun things... Epiphany Crafts and ClearSnap goodness! Be sure you stop on over at the Epiphany Crafts and ClearSnap blogs to see even more inspiration too!

For these projects I reached for a new collection that I had found by Simple Stories called Baby Steps. I loved the colors of the line and how classic they are. Without further delay, here is my layout:

Techniques:
I base coated my Vintage Settings in Cabana with my Cream acrylic paint. I did two coats for nice coverage. I then used my Smooch to obtain the depth of color that I wanted. I used Molasses, Lettuce and Cape Cod for my Vintage Settings.

I love that this technique allows you so much control to obtain the perfect color match! You can rub a little of the Smooch off for a more vintage look too!

I then used my Smooch Spritzes on my Martha Stewart doily and it coordinated with this line just perfectly! I also used them on my plain white ric-rak. Can you find it?

Of course I had to make a card too! This line is so versatile and the colors are perfection! I love how the Epiphany round 14 bubble caps morph into the top part of the design on this card!

Again, I base coated my Vintage Settings in Cabana with my cream acrylic paint in a few coats. For this card I used Smooch in Mocha for my Vintage Settings. I also used the Cape Cod smooch on my white star pin.

Take these Moments to Breathe...

Happy Monday to you! I'm so super excited to share a special project with you today!!! Quick Quotes and Petaloo have teamed up and its going to be an amazing week as we share our projects!

We were so very spoiled with this cross promotional partnership with Petaloo! I can’t even begin to say how totally beautiful these flowers are! When I looked at all of those gorgeous colors in the flowers, I wanted to challenge myself to combine them and our Quick Quotes lines. Here's my project:

I took this photo recently when we were at the apple orchard and fell in love with it. The quote "Take these moments to breathe in the beauty around you...." was absolutely perfect for this page!

For my project, I used bits of several of our beautiful lines to mix things up! You’ll find some gears layered under my flowers. I added a bit of burlap because it just seems to work so beautifully with the Cherry Truffle line.

I thought it would be fun to bring out some more yellow, so I dry brushed some acrylic buttercream paint underneath my frosted flowers. To create a bit of a “sun” accent, I layered the larger flower into my big gear.

I also layered one of the smaller frosted flowers with some Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets diecut and my Petaloo flowers. Isn't that Petaloo Canterbury Vine Spray in Teal divine?! It makes me swoon!

Little Yellow Bicycle - Cycling Team Post!

Happy Friday to you! Are there any sweeter words?!!!

Do you recall my post a bit ago about making the first Cycling Team over at Little Yellow Bicycle? Well, I'm over the moon excited to share with you the project that I created for it today!

I received the stunning "Head of the Class" collection to design with. I absolutely love this collection! The bright fun colors of the papers and classic design made this such a joy to work with!!! Without further delay, allow me to introduce you to "Spare Me!":

The moment I saw the fun diamond shaped pattern paper with the number "10" in the headpin position, I knew I was going to turn this collection into a bowling page! I always enjoy looking beyond the intent of a collection and try to use it in a different or unusual way.

For my project I had a series of three photos, but I didn't really want to crop them too much to compromise their composition. The solution: Create a built in flip book built on the page. It was very simple, I just stitched the left side down. (Ok, I'll be honest, I had to help my sewing machine a bit as it went through all of those layers, but it was worth it!) The bottom photo was attached leaving a pocket to tuck in my Good Job journaling spot.

I hand stitched a few circles on the background paper to mimic the feel of the bowling ball action. Here's an angle so you can see the dimension and texture a little better:

Keeping my banner theme for the page, I added a few horizontal banners into the main photo mat. I created a few custom star buttons using the papers and my Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Star 25 tool. For my bowling ball and pin, I used my Cricut Expression 2 and the Nifty Fifties cartridge. A little glossy accents on the bowling ball was the finishing touch.

I really love all of the fun embellishments in this collection! They look so fabulous layered as a collage!!! The star stick pin also worked just perfectly tucked into the stitching of my flip book. I combined some of the clear cuts shapes and journaling spots behind my pin for that extra "pow".

Throwing Tradition to the Wind!

Today at Imaginsce we are throwing tradition to the wind! Some of the designers were challenged to create a non-traditional shaped card. Well, you know how much I love a good challenge don't you?!!! What a fun challenge!

I reached immediately for my Spellbinders Grand Calibur machine and the Imaginisce "Geek is Chic" collection and created this:

I love the vibrant colors in this collection, they just make you smile! I created the apple stem using my Nested Apple die a second time on some scraps that I had. This was super quick, cute and easy, all of my favorite things at once!

Celebrating Fall!

Greetings!

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather wherever you are! We have been blessed with absolutely beautiful fall days lately. I'm so excited to share a few of those photos with you on my project today!

I don’t know about you, but I just absolutely love fall, it's my favorite season of the year. If you’re like me, you are going to totally adore the new October Club Q kits from Quick Quotes! I’m excited to show you my Club Q re-do for the October Club Q – Altered kit! First, here's a peek at the yummy Quick Quotes October kits!:

I always enjoy working on altered projects, so when I opened this kit up with these adorable canvases and the beautiful papers by Teresa Collins, well that was just a perfect match! We recently took our kids to go choose their pumpkins at the pumpkin patch so I knew which photos I was going to use as well.

The design approach here was fairly clean and simple; I added a few of the kits pretty laser cut flourishes for a little extra fun. I loved the combination of Teresa’s super elegant flourish patterns with the hay and pumpkins. A little of the bling trim was just the perfect little touch to add.

I used Midnight Confessions and Mango Mai Tai Powder Puff Chalking Inks for this project. First, I base coated my canvases with some light orange acrylic paint, and then misted it with some orange mist. I then used Mango Mai Tai for the edges of my canvases.

Tip – to attach glue to back of those little gems I used a toothpick to control the amount of glue applied.

Fun Fall Challenge!

Happy almost Friday everyone!!!

A few weeks ago I was the very lucky blog winner over at Paper Trunk. They were so incredibly generous and sent me some absolutely beautiful things to work with! Thank you so very much!

I decided to play along with Becky Fleck's Pagemaps Blog for her current challenge and decided on using the Wrangler collection for this. Here is my project:

For the leaves, I used my Martha Stewart punches. You'll find three of my favorite Epiphany Crafts star 25 bubble caps here. For fun, I punched one of them out of the leftover crops from my pictures and used it in the sky. I also used an Epiphany Crafts round 25 bubble cap to highlight my "WILD" rub-on from Kaisercraft.

Here's another image for journaling details:

The postcard and #1 ephemera bits are from 7 Gypsies and my round journaling spot on the bottom is Jenni Bowlin. The "Laugh" stick pin is from Jo-Ann. My titlework mixes Kaisercraft rub-ons and the Paper Trunk stickers.

The snippet of a doily die on top is an MFT die and the paper is Cherry Truffle from Quick Quotes. I also used my Amaretto Powder Puff Chalk ink for my rust colored leaves. A little accent hemp and raffia polished this off. Aren't the colors in this line wonderful for fall? I sure think so!!!

Some Halloween Inspiration!

Greetings!

Last year I was the very lucky recipient of some amazing collections from Nikki Sivils via a lucky comment on her blog! When we started thinking of Halloween projects at Epiphany Crafts, I knew immediately that I was going to use these 'Boo-tiful' papers!!!

I found that my Shapes Studio Oval 25 tool fit the little ghosts from her 6x6 paper pad perfectly! I used three of them on here. See down below for more details, aren't they fun?!!! The striped paper was so cute, I used it with my new Shapes Studio Star 25 tool!

You'll see that I found a use for my trusty thrift store find typewriter on here too! A little crinkle ribbon dyed with Maya Mist in Orange was the perfect extra touch.

The black rose trim on here is American Crafts. I thought Nikki's little purple spider needed to nestle on into the black roses, so I bent the legs just a bit and added some Starry Night stickles.

At first glance, this photo might seem a bit odd to scrap, but it was a milestone for our little one. This was the very first time he walked up to the door with his brother to say "Trick or Treat!". I love the little look of swagger that he has in his step as "Woody", and the sheriff badge on his pocket still cracks me up with that bandanna!

Destination - Play!

Happy Wednesday my blogging friends!

I'm so excited to share with you a fun project that I created with the new Imaginisce line "Bon Voyage"! It's a collection that is near and dear to my heart with its elegant vintage vibe and very classic appeal!!!

I always like to put a bit of a twist on things, so of course I didn't use the collection for a travel themed page. Instead, I used it with some playful photos. Without further delay here it is:

I love the mix of patterns and colors in this line so I tried to use as much as possible in my layering. These are photos of our oldest rolling down the hay bale pile at the Apple Orchard last fall. I just loved the sequence of the action and the look ok his face. The colors were a perfect match for the line too!

I used the Snag 'em Compass stamp on my kraft envelope with Quick Quotes Powder Puff chalk ink in Amaretto, then colored an i-rock gem with my Copic marker for the center.

I opted to create a bit of a collage with a variety of the die-cuts and sticker stackers. I used my i-Top and a 28mm brad for the large compass. Here is a detail image for you:

I've also added some very tiny i-Rock crystal gems to the background compass paper for a little extra interest as well. There are additional glam rocks in the upper left of my layering too. The kraft envelope and mini tickets on here are Maya Road, the acetate heart is K&Co. Twine is from Martha Stewart. The mini words on the Destination Chipboard plaque are Authentique.

When I received the September Club Q kits from Quick Quotes, I immediately fell in love with the Canvas kit! There are so many fun little elements and details included for the mini, it’s just all over yummy with so many ways to make it your own. Here's an image of the original project so you can see how I switched mine up:

To begin, I took all of my laser cut chipboard frames and painted them with an acrylic cream paint. While soothing and therapeutic, I’ll be honest, it does take more than two coats, so, if you embark on this journey too, trust me it will be worth it!!! To prepare the book, I used Amaretto Powder Puff Chalking ink on all of the edges of my canvas. Each of the pages have been dry brushed with some cream, light yellow and barn red acrylic paints along the edges to give a bit of a shabby vintage feel to match the elegant frame shapes.

Some details about the cover:

I pressure embossed my white frames and they embossed wonderfully!
The acrylic bracket frame is from a good friend, she sent it home with me last year and it finally found a perfect spot here! I dry brushed some barn red paint behind it to give it some interest.
The black and white argyle print doily is one of many doily’s that I cut from a die.
My sentiment has glossy accents put over the top. I wouldn’t recommend applying it over vellum as you can see, it did wrinkle mine some.
After much debate, I chose to leave it as is because it makes the sentiment more profound in my opinion. It’s not always about being super perfect, it’s about simply making a project your own.

Once the prep work was done, all I had to do was pick out my favorite photos and mount them to my frames.

I stamped my accent mats with some doily stamps using Amaretto Powder Puff chalking ink and added a coordinating Epiphany Crafts round 14 epoxy button. Another cream doily with a sentiment from our Vintage Alphabet Quote Sets, French Quarter. I loved these so much and used them on several pages here.

I added a little fine hemp and tied it around the frame, then curled my ends.

The photo on the left is a little washed out, but I loved it anyhow so I used it. You can tell that it was one of those “no one wants to sit still moments”! Who doesn’t just love those Frosted Butterflies, they are such soft and beautiful accents!?!

I just loved the feel that the yellow gingham adds to this color scheme! You'll see another Vintage Alphabet Sentiment and an Epiphany Crafts Heart 14 epoxy button on the right.

I slid the remaining bit of yellow gingham doily die underneath my frame here. Some of the Vintage Alphabet Sentiment packaging was used for my butterflies also on this page. The next page I used a bit of crochet trim to balance my white space of the sentiment block. I finally found the perfect page to use my Black Gem Frosted Butterfly!!!

I just loved this photo to go along with the sentiment on opposite page.

For the back cover, I added the burlap, die cut my sentiment and inked with Midnight Confessions Powder Puff Chalk Ink. I’ve also added an Epiphany Crafts 25 round epoxy, round 14 and 20 buttons.

Snag 'em Stamps and American Crafts Ink!

Hello my happy blogging friends!

This week over at Imaginisce we are featuring our Snag Em' stamps along with American Crafts Pigment Ink. They were so gracious as to share some of their wonderful inks with us to showcase.

I received Cherry and Mustard, which are such beautiful vibrant colors! I immediately knew that I wanted to use the Happy Harvest collection for my project. Here's my mini album:

I used the swirling leaves and fox stamps on here. On the upper part of the cover I used the swirling leaves, stamped it in mustard and then heat embossed it with a little shimmer. The fox was stamped using Cherry Ink, but I added some bronze embossing powder to it, then cut him out. A few little googley eyes bring him a little more to life.

I used some of our canvas stickers, the owl and the fallen leaves. My i-rock and heart gems came out for adding the heart in the beaver's hands.

For the next page I decided to use my silicone mat and I pressed down each of my colors in different areas, then stamped into each of the colors to create a variegated orange/fall palette. I was really pleased with the effect! I used my small maple leaf punch by Martha Stewart to decorate the middle tab of the book.

I used the same color blending technique on the "I Love Fall" page. I also included a few orange gems for fun.

You'll see several of our sticker stackers that were used for this mini as well. I cut the one with the swirling leaves and used it for an accent here along with more of the punched maple leaves. I kept this very basic and bound it simply with some bakers twine.

In Ten Years Time... Remembering 9-11

Ten years ago today, a horrible act of terrorism shook this country to its very core. Our hearts ache today as much as they did ten years ago, if not even more for the victims of this horrible act.

Today, I send prayers of healing, love and support to all of those families and for everyone who in remembering those moments is transported back to the feelings of anxiety, fear and uncertainty that we all felt on that day. I remember vividly every detail of that day and the following days just being glued to the television along with most of my friends and family.

Prayers and thanks also go out to all of our troops and service people who so bravely serve to protect us all and keep our freedoms in place. We are so blessed in this country. We live in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

I am proud to be an American and I promise you, I will never ever forget!

Blessed be their memories.

Halloween Fun!

Happy Friday all!

I have another fun project to share with you today! The Doodlebug Blog challenged us to use their Halloween line, no matter old or new, so of course I had to play along!!! My kids dressed up last year as their very favorite characters from Toy Story, Buzz and Woody.

Fortunately, I have the Toy Story Cricut cartridge, and that came in very handy for the titlework here!

I cut the spider webs from Paper Doll Dress Up and of course, I had to add a little spider web action by weaving my thread through the web and under the spider.

A little paper pleating and velvet ribbon under the right photo and Mr. Toad gets a bit of jumparoo flourish for fun as well. I used my "new-to-me" trusty typewriter to do the journaling, love that thing!!! All of the products on here are Doodlebug with the exception of a little coredinations for photo matting and a bit of trim and string. I snuck a little orange "create-a-base" card on here too because I just LOVE them!!!

Happy Friday bloggers! Aren't those some of the sweetest words ever?

I’ve got a fun little school inspired card to share with you today. How can we head into the month of September without thinking “Back to School”?!! The moment I looked through our September Club Q kits, those rich beautiful colors of the Cherry Truffle line made me think apple!

Tips and Techniques
- Used my Cricut Expression 2 to create my die-cut images.
- Use the relief of the border laser cut from the kit and attached under the ribbon.
- A bit of cream burlap trimmed to fit and fringed a bit, along with some cream ric-rak provided an anchoring point for my apple collage.

Happy Labor Day!

Hi there my blog loving friends! Happy Labor Day to those of you here in the United States!

I was putting away some of my layouts into albums the other night and came across one that I had not yet shared with you, it was just for fun. The memory for me on this page is the main photo of our "baby" from last year at just around this time at the local Renaissance Festival. It stunned me how big he looks here!

It's amazing to me how very quickly babies grow from completely helpless little beings into fiercely independent little children. The title: Watch out! Ready or not... here I grow!!!

I loved the bright colors of these GCD Studios papers and wanted to challenge myself to use those pink florals for a boys page. Did it work? Here are some details:

I used my i-Top brad maker from Imaginisce for the pink burlap floral center in 22mm and to anchor the bakers twine in 28mm. Isn't that fun? The Grand Calibur was used for my focal photo and matting.

Good morning to you and Happy September!!

I have a sweet little card to share with you today using the adorable create-a-card base from Doodlebug! Have you seen them? Our local Archiver's has the entire line of them and the colors are amazing, as are the variety of styles.

Their blog had the cutest ever little sketch that they call a "Doodle". I used it as my starting point for inspiration.

Here's my interpretation of their Doodle:

The stick pins here are Little Yellow Bicycle but they matched so well I had to use them! I dressed them up a bit further with some mini jewels. I used my Cricut Expression 2 to cut the scallop layer underneath the cute cut cake.

It seems like I always need a fun birthday card and this one went together so quickly. It's fit for almost any age, so that also makes me happy! I can't wait to play with my other colors and shapes that I bought in the create-a-base line!

Happy Monday to you! I hope your weekend was fabulous!

We had beautiful weather here and got outside with the family for some much needed fresh air and activity. My camera got a serious workout and I can't wait to load and print my pictures soon!

Today I have a card to share with you from Quick Quotes and one of my favorite lines of theirs, Julie Je t'aime. The colors in this line are so lovely and the impact is wonderful.

Tips/Techniques:

Don't be afraid to bring in a strong accent color! I think the yellow added just the right pop of color here.
This quick little card was created with some scraps left over from a page. I love to use the little bits and pieces to create cards in between layouts. I feel like it gives the brain a little creative rest.
Play with the papers to give them a fun unique angle.

Introducing the Newest Imaginisce Release... Geek is Chic!

Greetings! I'm so excited to share some of my creations with you today using the new Geek is Chic line from Imaginisce! This is one of my favorite collections to date, just look at the wonderful vibrant colors in this line!!! It just screams happy and fun!

First up is a layout titled Love to Read.

You'll notice that I used my i-top and 3, 16mm brads to create my 1, 2, 3 brads respectively... so the title is "Love to Read... A to Z, 1,2,3". I also cut my vertical paper at an angle to add some interest and to mimic the angles of the mats on the photos also. A mini paper clip also highlights the number 3 which is how old our son is here in these photos.

This line has the cutest die-cuts, sticker stackers and journaling spots! I can tell you that this page went together so quickly for me I couldn't believe it!!! It sounds cliche, but really, it almost scraps itself!

For my next layout I played a little with the die-cuts to create a custom title for a non-school page. I used my Cricut Expression 2 for the title and my Spellbinders Grand Calibur for the large circle die cuts:

I added a little wire and wrapped up one of my hearts on a pop dot. The aqua scalloped square layer is also cut with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

My husband is so great with the kids, he loves to play with them and be goofy just to make them laugh. That hat just cracks me up!

Something Sweet to Share!

Happy weekend greetings to you!

I totally forgot to share something! Last week I had the honor of hosting over at the Imaginisce blog. The project that I shared is one of my favorites, so I wanted to post is here as well. If you'd like to see my post at Imaginisce, click here.

This cupcake mini album was created using the Birthday Bash line from Imaginisce, a Kaisercraft mdf album, my Cricut Expression and the Sweet Treats cartridge. For the cover, I took out my tried and true crimper to give a realistic cupcake feel to the bottom of the mini. You'll notice a litte silhouette cutting on the main photo to feature Woody from Toy Story.

Some of my favorite extras on here are the i-Top brads and the i-Rock gems. They really make the album pop!

I cut a rocket shape and used a little stickles on it, then foam dots to disguise the candles... plus it adds a little arrow action to direct your attention to the next page. I cut the "Happy Birthday" banner out and a balloon. Included is a hidden journaling tag.

Now we're getting into the fun bits of memories from his 3rd birthday! What a fun loving kid! He just cracks me up at what he always comes up with. He'll look at you and say.. "That's a great idea!"... and you just have to nod most of the time and say YES it is sweetheart!

This final page was a combination of a photo from his real birthday party celebration at Chuck E. Cheese and of his first big gift that he opened on his birthday at home first thing in the morning. Of course it was a Toy Story birthday, so he got the Woody doll that you see on the front cover and Bullseye the horse. It's almost a year later and he still loves those toys!

Some Sunday Sunshine for you!

Warm Sunday greetings to you! I've got a fun Quick Quotes August Club Q project to share with you today!

Aren't the mix of colors in the Cherry Truffle line just fabulous? It's so rich and elegant. I had this sepia toned photo from when our little guy was only a few weeks old and thought it paired nicely with the line. I wanted to prove that you don't always have to use the color blue for boys. ; )

This paper is extremely versatile for most any project! I also just love the sweet tags that came with the kits!

To accentuate my sun shape, I added some accordion flowers and as an accent to my rub on quote, some baby feet stickers I have had for well over a year now. The quote: “This day will leave the silent footprints of precious memories in my soul.” It perfectly conveys how I feel every single time I look at this photo. Something about how he is looking at me just makes my heart melt.

This is why I love to scrapbook!

Techniques used:

Created a few die cut shapes using Spellbinders Grand Calibur.
Stitched on the circle in gingham yellow with a fun stitch to simulate sun rays.
Used some light yellow acrylic paint to drybrush the edges of my paper and around my "sun" shape.
Also used the paint on my cream laser cut swirlydoo shapes.
Added little dots of stickles to the floral dots on my background paper.
Sanded my coredinations cardstock to reveal the yellow core under the black.

Quick Quotes - Club Q August Mini

Tuesday greetings to you my scrappy friends!

Have you seen the new Club Q kits and papers for August from Quick Quotes yet? If not, you are in for a "little" treat today. I have a bit of them to share with you in my first Club Q re-do project for the month!

I took one look at the altered kit kicker of that little luggage tag and knew what I wanted to do! Can you say adorable! The moment I saw it I knew I wanted to make it into a mini-album! To add pages, it’s very easy, just trace the back shape onto some plain chipboard or you can use a cereal box.

I found the perfect sentiment in my Itty Bitty Vellum Quotes “Sentiments” and attached it from behind. The idea behind the mini… just everyday moments that we might not otherwise capture.

The unexpected surprise of the new Cherry Truffle line is the bright pop of gingham yellow paper! It makes the very elegant papers really sing and worked wonderfully with my photos here.

For the cover, I used a few epoxy heart buttons and a charm with my Epiphany Crafts tools. I love the pop of color from the red and yellow on here. The edges of my tag were inked with Powder Puff Mocha Mama ink. After covering the cover, I added my Modge Podge in Matte and it really gives this particular paper a leather like appearance. That was my unexpected little bonus surprise from this project!

When you open the cover... a favorite photo of our oldest dashing towards the water park on our last vacation. He was totally ready to hit the water, and he always seems to be running, so this is a perfect photo of him!

To me, this photo is like a window into the future! Ever take one of those photos and you wonder is that really the same kid? It really makes me wonder what he will look like when he goes to school.

Here's our sweet little babe swinging on the 4th of July as well. They both absolutely loved this swing.

This was taken on our Wisconsin vacation as well. This photo just captured his coy little smile so nicely.

I never thought to do an everyday moments album, but this was probably the easiest and fun project! I hope you think about giving one a try. The tag was the perfect inspiration for all of this!

Techniques used:

Trace shape of back solid tag shape to create additional pages using chipboard.
Inked edges of pages before adhering papers.
For the cover, after covering with paper, I used a coat of Modge Podge in matte finish and it created a finish that combined with the brown paper, takes on a leather like texture and appearance.
Rub-on embellishments were used to avoid adding a lot of bulk.
I used some of the scallop trim for a bit of accent at the top and the swirls from the kit under a sentiment block for fun. The added kit elements are fabulous!

Quick Quotes Challenge!

Greetings and Happy Friday to you!

Quick Quotes has a really fun new challenge up for Friday -- how cool is that?!!! To kick off this fun, our first challenge is being hosted by Michelle Granger. Her challenge? Use a number somewhere on your project. Fun!

I'll be honest, I wasn't exactly sure where the number was going to come into my project, but I did know that I wanted to play with the new Damsel In Distress papers that I had received! Such a romantic and soft pretty collection, it was whispering to me, honest!

Here is what I created:

I used my Cricut Expression and the new Flower Shoppe cartridge for quite a few of the flowers, and a variety of my punches for others. I also cut the flourishes with my Cricut as well. The quote is framed with Spellbinders Labels Three.

This is one of our wedding photos that I just love so much! It captures that moment in time where everything just stood still and it was us, finally joining our lives together. There is something very calming and romantic to me in this photo and I hope I did it justice.

Here are some details:

You can see that I've included more of my uber favorite Frosted Flourishes! The trim and netting are goodies that I had in my scrappy goody bag. The coordinating buttons and heart epoxies are made using Epiphany Crafts products.

Here's another detail photo for you. I've also added some Perfect Pearls in Platinum to my butterfly and to the far right flower. Where's my number for the challenge? On the clock face as well as I wrote our wedding date above the "Time Stands Still" sentiment block. I used our Powder Puff Chalk Ink in Midnight Confessions very gently to ink the edges of my elements.

Special Project to Share

Good Morning to all my crafty friends!

I have a fun and special project that I wanted to share with you today! You may have already seen it if you are a Pagemaps fan. For the month of August, the design team over at Imaginisce was given the honor and privilege of designing with Becky Fleck's amazing sketches!

The best part about this for me was that I was given a 2 page layout as my sketch! I don't often create double page layouts so this was an awesome assignment!

Here's my project using Animal Crackers by Imaginisce:

Some details for you:

The cluster of buttons on here was so much fun to do and is one of my favorite things about this layout. The journaling reads: "Watching you play at the park is more fun to me than anything! You love to explore it all and run, climb, slide and hide. My sweet monkey!"

You can see that I've used my i-Rock on here to accent the "Greatest Show Ever" diecut. What cracks me up about this layout is the photos with all the sheer intensity on my sweet boys face! Having fun for him is serious business! Never fear, I recently snapped some fabulous pics of him actually smiling!!! lol!

I used my i-Top on the bottom of the page to add additional texture to the circle pattern papers and a bit of bling seemed like the perfect addition. I've used all three sizes of brads here, 16mm, 22mm and 28mm. I can't wait for the new larger brad's and I-Top 2.0!!!

August Already?!!

Greetings and Happy August to you!

Can you believe that we are headed into the home stretch of summer? I really can't! Well, the exciting part of a new month is a brand new challenge over at Imaginisce!

This month we were honored to receive an exclusive sketch from Becky Fleck for our challenge! Here's the sketch:

Here's my take on her sketch using the ever so fabulous - Animal Crackers collection:

I chose this photo because it tells the story of the boys in this time very well. Is it a perfect photo where they are both gleaming happily at Mommy? Nope! It's real and it's just them and for whatever reason, it makes me laugh!

To further add a little cracked sense of humor, I placed some crackle accents to the little stars. Some glossy accents on the stars in the Fun and Games chipboard sentiment added just the right extra dimension along with the button cluster.
