Steam Punk Fun!

Happy Friday to you!

I'm delighted to share my project with you today!  This features several of my favorite things all together at once!  Epiphany Crafts challenged us to showcase the Round 25 Bubble Cap on a layout in a bit of a different way.  This is my finale post as a Designer for Epiphany Crafts and I wanted my project to be extra special!

"Remember This"
12x12 page
This page features the all new Tin Type line from Quick Quotes!
(Love the Steam Punk vibe!)

One of my 3 Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Bubble Caps anchors the bird.

The starting inspiration for this design was the Core'dinations with the black and teal circles.  The size of the circles coordinated perfectly with the bubble caps!  I then used my PowderPuff Chalk Inks in Baja Blue, Lemonade, Biscotti and some water to color the Chipboard Laser Diecut bird and branch.  A bit of glitter Modge Podge was added over the top.

To soften the feel of the rich colors, I used the Mega Sunflower Doily die (7.5" x 7.5") from Cherry Lynn Designs.  To create my framed sentiment I also used their Celtic Heart die (3" x 2 5/8") over one of the Quick Quotes Alphabet Sentiments.  I wanted to add some more color and used the Vintage Settings from Epiphany with a Round 14 bubble cap.

I intertwined some raffia, punched butterflies and leaves, flowers and vine and bling to frame in my photo.  The acetate accents and tickets added a little more pop of interest and color.

Kanban Elegance!

Greetings crafty friends!

I've got a little elegant card inspiration to share with you today courtesy of Kanban Crafts!  This A2 sized card features a mixture of cardstock textures and a touch of doily, pearl, lace, spool, ribbon, buttons and pins.

I used my We R Memory Keepers stub nose punch on the pink pearl card stock to keep the art deco theme to the card.  The sharp contrast of the gunmetal grey pearl cardstock gives the soft elements focus.

Here is a detail image of the button and spool cluster.  I've used my Epiphany Crafts Heart 20 button tool and button and a Heart 14 tool and bubble cap.  The little spool was a find in my local craft store.  I just added a bit of my thin ribbon to it.  The stick pins are Maya Road.  Doily is from Martha Stewart and the pearl accents are Kaisercraft.

The wavy cut on my cardstock?  That came from an American Crafts trimmer that I was fortunate to have won at my LSS crop one night this winter.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to you!

We're so excited over at Imaginisce, we've paired up with Scrapbook Adhesives and are celebrating with a Blog Hop this week!  Prepare yourself for some amazing inspiration, as the projects are fabulous!!!

For my project, I created a mini album for some friends of ours.  I used the Hippity Hop collection (which just happens to be one of the prizes!!!)

How perfect is the "Bloom and Grow" sentiment for the cover?  So fun!
I cut an extra kite from the pattern paper and attached using the thin 3d foam squares.  You'll see the photo corners used on each of the mini album pages also.  The i-rock was used to add the bird "wings" using our silver teardrops, the gems and heart.

The die cut elements in the Hippity Hop collection are so fun and easy to use, they come pre-cut for you and all ready to roll out of the package!  I used the Scrapbook Adhesives thin 3D foam squares along with their regular 3D foam squares for varying dimension throughout.  The ribbon was attached using the Crafty Super Power tape.

The floral center was created using the i-Top 2.0 and a 16mm brad daddy.

Confession time, the little raining cloud is hiding Daddy's hand holding the fish... so it could look like she is doing it herself.  ; )  A few strategically attached silver tear i-rock gems represent water splash from Mr. Fish.  I chose the "Hippity Hop" title on the fifth page as I'm presuming when they were at Disney they were on a Hopper pass.  (Crossing my fingers that I am right!)

The back cover.  The little canvas sticker bird was attached using a few of the 3D foam squares stacked on each other so she could perch above the title.  I added a heart glam rock using my i-rock for it's wing and a few other gems for interest.

Designer's Notes:

  • When I stitch my photos to their mats, I used just a few squares from the EZ Squares in the middle to tack the photo in place so it would be centered and not move while I stitched the photo to the mat.
  • I have a confession... I'm an EZ Runner addict. I absolutely LOVE this runner and have used it since day 1 of scrapping. I don't make many projects without it.  It holds awesome and is small and easy to pack for a crop.  .

Kanban Valentine

Monday crafty greetings to you!

I wanted to share a couple of Kanban Crafts treat bag creations that I made in case you're needing a bit of last minute Valentine ideas.  The bags are simple cellophane treat bags you can find at any craft store or Wal-Mart.  For the topper, I used my Spellbinders Grand Labels 4 and folded in half.

The little birdie was so cute, I added an Epiphany Crafts Round 25 bubble cap on a bow.  The sentiment stamp is from A Jillian Vance Designs and was just perfect!  The relief paper was from the Kanban kit, how sweet it worked out!!!  Of course, I had to add a little romantic flair with my i-Rock and heart glam rocks from Imaginisce!!!

I used the "XOXO" sentiment stamp from A Jillian Vance Design here along with Mr. Owl.  He's adorable and a bit of glossy accents on his eyes and nose made him pop!

I hope you are all set for Valentine's Day, but if you're not and need a quick solution, these were super fun and easy to put together!

Epiphany Crafts and Pink Paislee!

Happy Friday crafty peeps!

Today's post is near and dear to my heart!  Why, you ask?  Because it's Pink Paislee!!!  Epiphany Crafts has teamed up with Pink Paislee to swap products and do a blog hop together!  I was a very lucky girl and received the Nantucket collection from Pink Paislee to work with.  Yumm-o!!!

What I love about this collection is the pretty and crisp feel that it has.  One look at the patterns and the embellishments and I knew exactly what this was going to be used for.  A colleague of mine had a destination wedding and I asked her to give me one of her favorite candid photos so I could maybe do something special with it.  I had been waiting for the perfect paper collection for this project for awhile.

Me and You... Sand Castle Dream

Can you find all of the Epiphany Crafts Embellishments on here?

I chose the scallop circle 25 bubble caps to echo the feel of shells and tucked them into the collage diecut elements. The heart button 20 graces the top of my compass and the heart 25 bubble cap anchors the left side of the collage with some soft peach lace pattern paper.

I plan to present this to the happy couple in a frame to be used for Home Decor. The papers in this line were just too perfect for a tropical wedding page! I tucked a bit of lace and the tassel to give a little romantic and elegant flair to the page.

I really loved that I could create a "Me and You... Sand Castle Dream" title from the collection elements!!!

Love is in the Air!

Greetings all my Valentine swooning crafty friends!  Go on and admit it, we all love the opportunity to create some swoon-a-licious projects for our loved ones!!!

Over at Imaginisce, the Design Team were assigned various love themed projects to focus on.  What fun!  My assignment was an altered/home decor project.  After pondering a few different ideas I thought it would be fun to do something girly and all for me for a change!

This project gave many of the Imaginisce tools a workout and it was too much fun!
  • This started out as a simple heart shaped wooden box for $1 at Michael's.  It's hinged and has a magnetic closure at the point.
  • I started with a base coat of red paint, then covered it using some papers from Little Cutie and the pink pattern paper on the bottom is from Garden Party.
  • The d-stress was used to sand the edges and helped me finish that step so fast!
  • The musical overlay is a Hambly acetate sheet which I trimmed to fit and then modge podged over the top of my pattern Little Cutie paper with their glitter Modge Podge.

  • The i-rock got a work out making a decorative edge of hearts along the bottom of the entire box.  It took a little bit of time but the effect was so worth it!!!
  • The i-bond was used to hot glue the trim and for assembling all florals.
  • Roly rosies and pop up posies were used to create the floral focal point for the top, along with a cute little tag and the stamped "xoxo" sentiment is from A Jillian Vance Designs stamps. Love that sentiment!!!
  • A bit of Smooch pearly pink was added to give some sheen and flair to the big bloom.  The smaller flowers on the side were created with MFT dies.
Imaginisce Product List:
Petal Roller
Roly Rosies

Other Products Used:
"Sending My Love" Stamp Set, A Jillian Vance Design
Acetate Music Print, Hambly
