Happy Harvest Release Party!

Greetings my blog loving friends!

I'm so excited to share my projects for the newest Imaginisce release with you today!!!  Without further delay, allow me to share with you my Happy Harvest projects!

My first thought when I received this collection was these really fun photos that I took of our oldest last year.  Our annual tradition is to take him pumpkin picking on his birthday.  I got a particularly fun photo of him running toward the wagon last year.  I titled this one "Birthday Pumpkin Fun!"

This project started out with my Cricut and the Elegant Edges cartridge.  I just love the beautiful shapes on it and I used it to cut the brown paper.  Using that template, I created several more punched strips to create texture and interest without becoming too cluttered.  I added a few punched maple leaves into the mix here as well.

Naturally, I had to use my i-rock and some bling on here too!  I used clear bling on the beaver's eyes and orange on my pumpkins.  I also snuck in one teal one in the owl's wing up in the tree.  Tiny clear gems are in the centers of my leaf flourish as well.

The adorable Fall Friends Icon Die Cuts that come with this collection made the rest of the page come together so easily! I just love the leaf flourish!!!  The mini alphas are by My Little Shoebox.  A great big Thank You to MLS for partnering with us and sending us all those yummy alpha's!  You'll be seeing them on more of my projects for sure!

My next project is a classic and simple layered card:

I added the little crochet trim for interest and the teal and brown leaf stick pins by Maya Road just seemed to fit so nicely!  My i-rock was used here to add the Metallic Pearl Glam Studs and some teal gems from the Hot Rocks Compact - Jewel.

I just love the pop of teal combined with all of the beautiful traditional fall colors!  Make sure that you stop on over to the Imaginisce Blog today to see more inspiration from the uber talented Design Team.

If I know my friends at Imaginisce, I'm quite certain there is a giveaway (prizes!!!) to be had as well!

Thank you so much for stopping on over and spending a moment with me here today!  Have a super scrappity day!!!

Celebrate Happy Times!

Happy Wednesday to all of my blog loving friends!!!

I'm so excited to be back again today to share with you another fun project that I created for Donna Salazar using her gorgeous Antiquities line for GCD Studios.  Guest Designing for Donna using these papers is like a scrapbook dream come true for me!!!

This is a "Celebrate Happy Times" card using my Spellbinders Grand Calibur and the Scalloped Square Grand Nestabilities for the base:
For this project I've used the Fanciful Flight and Sprightly Sprockets dies from Spellbinders.  I just adore both of these sets of dies and how beautifully they work with this line!

You'll see that I've incorporated Epiphany Crafts beautiful Vintage Settings on here as well as some round epoxy size 14 as well as a heart shaped epoxy 14.  The Vintage Settings started out as pale pink, but I used my Copic marker to enhance the depth of color to work with my project.

The butterfly is from Fanciful Flight and I've added some Rock Candy Distress Stickles to it and as a trail for interest and texture.    Be sure you stop on over to Donna's blog and check out what the rest of her Design Team has been creating with this stunning line!

Thanks so much for stopping on over and spending a moment with me here today!  Have a super scrappity day!!!

Love Notes Mailbox for Donna Salazar!

I'm so delighted to share with you that I am Donna Salazar's Guest Designer for June!

I will have a few other fun things to share with you later, but for today let's kick it off with my love notes mailbox. This mailbox is made by Maya Road and comes with a mini album, but I will share that with you later!

I've had this mailbox for a little while, but wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it. Once I received the Antiquities line from Donna, I just knew these papers were perfect for it! I started by base coat painting it with a dusty rose acrylic paint.  Oh, and if you zoom in on this image, you will see that I used two Epiphany Crafts epoxy hearts to create leaves for my flower under my big butterfly in the lid.

I then covered it with the "Let's Ride" papers. The flag is covered with The Crafty Chronicle.  I distressed the edges, stitching around the edges for some interest and texture. I slightly dampened them and crumpled them, then smoothed them out before I covered it.  For the back of the mailbox, I did a torn layer to reveal a beautiful bouquet of flower from "Vintage Gears".
One of the fun things about this line is that it has a really great vintage vibe with steam punk appeal. I played that up by using some of the Sprightly Sprockets, misted with a little River Moss Smooch Spritz into my floral layers. The Crafty Chronicle makes the best ever flowers, and those custom buttons from Epiphany Crafts are the perfect compliment!
Smoochy Tip: The leaves for my flowers were colored with River Moss Smooch spray. I spritzed some onto my silicone mat, then added a little water and used a brush to get my leaves to the desired color.

I had so much fun with UTEE on this project. I have to say I absolutely adore the effect that Donna's Fairy Dust Glitter gives when layered in with the UTEE.  This is a covered chipboard butterfly by Melody Ross with a Spellbinders diecut on top.
It's harder to capture in photos sometimes, but my double butterfly has it and my larger Fanciful Flight butterfly has it also and the shimmer and shine is wonderful!  That shimmer really brings things to life!!!
This side has a Martha Stewart doily layered up with the sprockets and an Epiphany Crafts Round 20 button.  There is another Round 14 and a heart shaped covered chipboard in the corner.

Club Q Re-Do: Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day weekend to you all!

Hopefully you've got some fun things planned to help honor the special Dad's in your life!  I was so inspired by the strong and bright colors in the new Savvy Davvy line that are in the June Club Q kit, I knew I wanted to create a Father's Day card with it!

It's time for a Club Q Re-Do!   Here is the card that I created:
Techniques Used:
- This paper is so pretty I didn't layer it like I usually do for my cards. The pattern is beautiful all on its own!
- I used my Spellbinders dies to create my window and frame for the itty bitty vellum quote.
- Created a paper pleated ribbon and tore the folds to expose the red color on the opposite side.
- I used foam dots to elevate my sentiment frame.

Non-Kit Items Used:

- Seam Binding Crinkle Ribbon
- Black Hemp
- Powder Puff Chalking Inks; Tahiti, Marischino Cherry
- Martha Stewart Leaf Punch
- Ranger Crackle Accents
- I-Top and 1, 28mm brad by Imaginisce
- Dimension foam dots, Stampin Up
- Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Fourteen

Be sure to check out our Itty Bitty Quotes, they are so fun and work wonderfully for cards!

For other fabulous inspiration be sure you pop on over to the Quick Quotes Blog and see what the other Design Team gals have been creating also!!!

Father's Day Inspiration!

Happy Wednesday to you!

The Imaginisce gals had a fun assignment, combine Echo Park, Spellbinders and Imaginisce products to create a card for Father's Day!  You all know how I just love a challenge don't you?!!

Here's what I created:

I used Echo Park's Dots & Stripes Candy Shoppe paper for my dark brown and blue base papers.  The Red sentiment block is my Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight.  I used the smallest die to create my tab for the top of the card.

I have to admit to you, I wasn't initially certain what my sentiment was going to be for this card.  My father is a huge coffee drinker so I knew I wanted to use the thermos and coffee mug sticker stacker from Imaginisce's Happy Camper line.  The inspiration quote comes from a DCWV rub-on set that I found at Hobby Lobby.  I really loved this quote and it was just the perfect place for it right here.

Ingredients:
Echo Park Papers:  Dots & Stripes "Candy Shoppe"
Imaginsce:  "Happy Camper"
Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight
Martha Stewart Mini Tag Punch
Seam Binding Crinkle Ribbon
Martha Stewart Baker's Twine
i-Top
i-Top 22mm Punch and 1 Brad
i-Rock
i-Rock Red Glam Rocks
Kraft Cardstock:  The Paper Company
Ranger Distress Ink:  Walnut Stain, Weathered Wood, Fired Brick
Other:  "Dad" rub-on

Thank you so much for stopping on over today!  Be sure to stop on by the Imaginisce blog to check out the fabulous inspiration from all the other Designers!!!

Have a super scrappity day!

Saturday fun with Club Q!

Happy weekend to you!

I had so much fun with the current Quick Quotes Club Q June kit!  Check out this new line called "Savvy Davvy".  Aren't the colors amazing together?  Be sure to bookmark the new Quick Quotes Blog too, there are some fun things coming up that you don't want to miss!

Here's my little Thank You card that I created with the June Kit.

Techniques Used:

I took the oversized brad from kit, inked it with Marischino Cherry and set aside to dry. I added Glossy Accents to the top and the swirl effect happened.  For a final step, I added some Fairy Dust by Donna Salazar for interest.

The white Martha Stewart doily tag was inked with Limeade Powder Puff Chalk ink to create an elegant layer behind one of my circles.

Using foam dimensional adhesives, I attached my larger flower, then stuck the pins into the foam at angles.

I used the current Cardabilities sketch for this card with Karan's permission. I love the circles and thought it was playful.

Non Kit Items Used:
Button
Black Hemp
Fairy Dust by Donna Salazar (or irradescent glitter)
Martha Stewart Doily Tag, inked with Limeade
1 mini black metal brad
2 Sugar Picks, Jillibean Soup
Ranger Diamond Stickles, Lime Stickles
Ranger Glossy Accents
Kraft Cardstock: The Paper Company
White Cardstock: AC
Rub-On sentiment: Pebbles
Powder Puff Chalking Inks:  Limeade, Marischino Cherry and Blue Hawaiian

Tools Used:

Imaginisce Blog Hop!

What do you get when you combine an amazing company, Imaginisce, with two more fantastic companies?

Three times as many reasons to creatively celebrate!

It's time for a Blog Hop!!!

Imaginisce has cross promotional partnerships with Echo Park Paper and Spellbinders.  Our Design Team assignment?  Combine their products with ours and create some gift tags!

When I opened my treats from our partnership companies, I was head over heels!  I received the Dots and Stripes line in Candy Shoppe from Echo Park.  My box also contained the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight from Spellbinders.  I knew immediately what I was going to do for my tags when I saw them.

Want to see what I created?!!
The tag on the left is for my husband! *insert mischievious grin here*
I combined some packaging from Happy Camper, paper from Little Cutie and chipboard/rub-on embellishments from Dino Roar for this tag.  The Echo Park papers are the brown striped tag base, the blue sentiment block and the banner.
I wanted to play up the orange colors with this line a bit more, so for the next tag base I cut it from the Dino Roar collection.  The orange striped paper is Echo Park.  I added sticker stackers and rub-ons from the Dino Roar collection and my Bazzill Happy Birthday sentiment. The little i-rock extras really made this simple tag pop.
This sweet little tag I intend to use for my sons fourth birthday.  I added a little glam rock pile of rubble for fun and some other bling to add some life.  The base of the tag, the sentiment sticker, the little orange banner sticker and number 4 are all Echo Park.  The remaining papers, chipboard accents and rub-ons are all Imaginisce from the Dino Roar collection.

Techniques Used:
  • I cut the tag using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight, Die #4, then traced around it and hand cut the shadow layer.
  • On the "I DIG dinosaurs", I used the packaging from my Happy Camper Sticker Stackers and the Spellbinders die cut through it with no extra effort!
  • For my center orange tag, I accented the color scheme with my i-rock gems and a few rub-ons.
  • The last tag I created in anticipation of our sons 4th birthday.  I added a rock pile of rubble using my i-rock and the square brown gems.  In between my tag layers, I placed the tail of an Echo Park sticker to provide a little colorful interest.
Your next hop stop is the ever so talented...  Courtney Lee!

If you're not sure where to start or what on earth I'm talking about, please stop by the Imaginisce Blog.  All of the blog hop details are there!

How about a prize?  Oh oops, that's a mistake, it's more like prizes...  how does a selection of Echo Park papers, AND a selection of Imaginisce "Happy Camper" papers AND set of Spellbinders Nestabilities sound to you?!?!?!  Be sure you stop and make comments at all the blogs along the way for your chance to win!!!

I wanted to personally thank Echo Park and Spellbinders for so generously providing the Imaginisce Design Team with their wonderful products!

Thank you so much for stopping on over today, have yourself a super scrappity day!

June Club Q "Re-Do" Project #1!

At Quick Quotes, we get so excited when the new Club Q Kits debut!  This month we get to work with this fun and fresh new line called "Savvy Davvy!"!  Check out the fresh feel of these papers and awesome embellishments!

Here is quick peek at the Page Kit projects you can create:

Here are the Canvas Kit projects you can create.  Check out that sweet little kicker canvas mini too!:
Should we talk about my Club Q "Re-Do"?!!!

For my first project I used the page kit and was totally inspired by the round red washers!  I took that theme and went with it!
I love how the red felt like it popped by pulling the blues in the paper line.

The titlework is a nod to the fact that our oldest has called his little brother "Brover!" since day 1!  It's so cute, I thought it was a fun way to capture the memory of that time.  Notice that blue paper doily?  It started out white and boring...  but oh how I love the effect from my Hawaiian chalk ink!!!  The color is so rich and vibrant!  I decided to blend a bit of the Tahiti into the doily too and I loved the effect of blending them!

Techniques Used:
  • I attached pattern paper underneath the red washers for some pop.
  • Added crackle accents and glossy accents to some of the circles.
  • Utilized the existing sentiments in the paper line to convey part of my journaling/titlework.
  • This layout inspired by Pencil Lines sketch #108.
  • Powder Puff Chalk Inks used: Hawaiian, Limeade, Tahiti and Maraschino Cherry.

Non Kit Items Used:
Cricut Expression, "Campin Critters" cartridge to cut circle at 7.5".
Sizzix accordian flower dies for the accordian flowers.
Paper Doily, Zva pearl strip
AC Thickers for alphas
Ranger Glossy Accents
Ranger Crackle Accents
AC Foam Dots "From This to That"
Thread, Sewing Machine

Journaling:
I love this photo of my sweet boys! Two years later and you still love each other and are best buddies! Melt my heart!

Thank you so much for stopping on over to spend a moment with me here today!  I'll be back soon to share one of my next projects with you too!

Have a super scrappity day!

Happy June!

Quick, someone tell me where on earth the month of May went to?!!  I can't even believe it's June already!

I wanted to share a fun little card that I created for Epiphany Crafts using the Vintage Street Market kit "Dimestore Vogue".  These papers are so pretty and the vintage appeal is wonderful.  The diecuts in this kit are splendid, I couldn't resist creating some cards with them!  The gorgeous felt flower and epoxy round 14 are Epiphany.  I adore the way these tools customize your projects and take them to the next level!

So many exciting things are happening right now!  I need to say a great big Thank You to My Scrapbook Nook for inviting me to be their Featured Card Designer for June!  The gals over there are so sweet and the inspiration and talent are endless!

I also have the distinct honor and pleasure to be Donna Salazar's Guest Designer for the Month of June!  One word for the products I've received...  gorgeous!!!

Thank you so much for stopping on over and spending a moment with me here today.  Enjoy your weekend and I hope it finds you happy, healthy and full of creativity!!!
