Sweet Goodbye to February!

Today is already the final day in February?!  Can it be true?

Well that can only mean one thing right, a new Cardabilities reveal is in store for you!!!  This month we have a fun new sponsor, Paper Makeup!  This is also a first for me, this was the first time I've ever worked with any digital image.  Please be a little forgiving ok?

So here is the fun and fabulous Sketch #26 by Karan Gerber:
For this I used my Imaginisce Garden Party papers as I really have Spring fever something fierce right now!  The heart fairy and the sentiment are both compliments of our awesome sponsor, Paper Makeup.
My digi items that I used on this card are:  The Heart Fairy - Charitable Fairy for the American Heart Association and the Little Moments sentiment set.

I printed the Heart Fairy onto matte shrink film in an enlarged image, then cut her out.  Once that was complete, I used my alcohol inks to color her in.  (I don't have any Copics yet!).  If you opt for this route, please know that once you shrink your image, the colors darken dramatically, so use a light hand.

Once I finished coloring her, I used my heat gun and shrunk the film.  In retrospect I really wish I had taken some photos of this so you could see the before and after variations of her colors.  I love working with shrink film!!!  Personally, I was stunned at how well this worked out for the image!  Its not perfect, but I love it!!!

I then printed my digi sentiment onto my 6x6 sheet of pattern paper and then used my spellbinder to create the sentiment block, then a few more circles for the fun shapes.  My fiskars scallop punch and binding seam crinkle ribbon with a touch of twine from The Twinery finished this card off nicely.

Thanks so much for stopping on by!  Make sure that you link up your creation over at Cardabilities if you are as inspired by this sketch as we were!!!  We'd love to stop by and leave you some blog love.  As the sentiment on this card says too..  remember to enjoy the little moments!!!

Have a Super Scrappity Day!

Happy!

How happy does that cute little laughing lemon make you?  It makes me giggle every single time I look at it!

Be sure to head on over today to the Imaginisce blog to check out the final day of the Design Team reveals!!!  Today is tutorials, step by steps and videos.

I have one final creation to share with you and this is in honor of Lori's Birthday which was yesterday!  She is amazing!!!

Happy Birthday Lori!!!

I had so much fun creating this happy little card for her.  I made each of the flowers on here.  The fun little bird and the "H is for Happy" are both from Maya Road.  My I-Top made the perfect center for my orange honeycomb starburst flower.  The twine is from the Twinery. I stitched on my yellow ribbon to gather it (not recommended...  it was challenging, but I really like how it works on here!).

Want to win some Berrylicious to create something fun and cheerful for yourself?  Be sure you head over to the Imaginisce blog and leave a comment!  You will not be disappointed, there is inspiration galore over there today!!!

Party On!!!

Berrylicious Cards!

Thank you for stopping on over today!  We are in the midst of the Release Party for Berrylicious, the fun and fresh new line from Imaginisce!!!  Wait til you see the adorable cards that the design team created!

Here is how this fresh and fun line inspired me:

Can you Dig It?  I loved the little seed packs and cut them out, used my ribbon slide punch and some Ikea coffee stir sticks and voila!  I loved the idea of the brown polka dot paper for "dirt", and the striped trim with the seeds on the bottom reminded me of a planted line of garden vegetables or fruits.  I added some bakers twine by Martha Stewart to help rope off my garden!  This card takes me back to the gardening days of my youth with my Mom.
The sweetest little bees!  Those pretty flowers just looked like bees would need to visit them.  I added just a little sparkle of bling to the floral centers with my I-Rock.  I love seeing all the different takes on this beehive from the Design Team!  It's amazing!!!

Here is my final card for this reveal.  I had a total blast making this whimsical card!  I just started trimming and cutting and punching and when I stopped, this is what I had!  I added a few gems with my I-Rock in the honeycomb for interest.

That's it for me today, but make sure you stop on over to the Imaginisce Blog today for your chance to win an entire collection of Berrylicious for yourself!!!  While you're there, say a Happy Birthday to Lori too!

Have yourself a super scrappity day!!!

The Release Party Continues!!!

Happy Tuesday morning to you!!!

The entire Imaginisce Design Team is so excited to share our projects for the newest release...  "Berrylicious" with you!  Today we are revealing our projects and trust me, you definitely want to make sure you visit the Imaginisce Blog!!!

My project started out as a simple heart shaped frame from Michael's.  I pondered what exactly I wanted to create with it and as I looked at the Berrylicious line, I kept seeing the reds, the awesome green and vibrant yellow and my idea was born!  I saw some Sesame Street characters in this paper and I wanted to make them come to life!  Enter into the picture my Cricut Expression and Sesame Street Cartridge.

So, a little more thinking and after a quick run to the dollar store for a digital timer and here we go...  I present to you:   Time Out!  (This can be used for them or you...  Ha!  I'm just sayin'!!!)
I used the honeycomb paper for the orange in Big Bird's tongue and legs, then I added orange peel stickles. I embossed Big Bird with my Swirl Cuttlebug folder.  As you can see, I used a variety of stickles to give texture.  Glossy Accents on his eyes was the final touch.
My favorite pet project... Oscar!  He was so much fun to create!  He is inked with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink for shading and dimension.  I just love how the I-Rock and those rhinestuds look on his can!  A little more stickles, glossy accents for his eyes and curled hemp and he was set!
I saved the best for last...  of course that's Elmo!!!  We love Elmo at our house!
I inked over his shape with Barn Door Distress Ink to morph away the white polka dots.  He is textured with a Viva Decor Glass Pen.  Some Orange Peel Stickles on his nose and Glossy Accents for his eyes finished him off.  All the characters on here are pop dot attached for dimension.

This was such a fun project!  To me, it's way more interesting to manage Time Out than with the boring old microwave timer.

There are so many ways to use this fresh and fun line, it's so incredibly versatile!  I can't wait to see what YOU create with Berrylicious!!!  Make sure you stop on over to the Imaginisce Blog and comment for your chance to win the entire collection!

Thanks so much for stopping on by and spending a moment with me and the Sesame Street gang here!  Have a Super Scrappity Day!!!

Berry Berry Sweet!

Good morning!  I hope this post today fills you with the spirit and excitement of Spring like it does me!  Trust me, here in blizzard ridden Minnesota, we need some glimpses of Spring!

I'm so excited to be a part of the Release Party for Berrylicious with Imaginisce!!!  This week we have all kinds of inspiration and projects to share, in addition of course there will be give-aways so that you might win your own new fabulous collection!

This new collection is packed with cartoon character fruits, gorgeous vibrant colours and tons of cheer.  It truly is well named, berrylicious!

Today is the official launch of the Release Party!  To kick things off we are starting with layouts.   When I got this yummy collection, I took one look at the very springlike green color in the papers and went for my water sprinkler photos from last summer!   Here's what I was inspired to create:

I just love using my I-Rock and those fun flourish templates and these photos just called for it!  I also used some colored gems in the rainbow and cloud diecut too for fun.  Here's another photo for details:
This is the first time I stitched through my chipboard alphas on a layout and I think I might be addicted!  I mixed up the bottom layers of this page with texture from burlap, a paper doilie, vintage lace and some seam binding ribbon.  The stick pins are from Little Yellow Bicycle and Maya Road, alphas are American Crafts Thickers.

I hope you stop on over and join us at the Imaginisce Blog for some fun today!  Don't forget to sign up for the Newsletter too, there are amazing prize opportunities that you won't find out about unless you sign up!  (Cricut Cake anyone?!!!!)

Thanks so much for stopping by and spending a moment with me today!   Have yourself a super scrappity day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day to You!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I think this day is a wonderful day to reflect on how very blessed we are with wonderful family and friends in our lives.  Whatever you find yourself doing, even if it is nothing at all, I hope that you have a very pleasant day!  My card today is just a reminder that somewhere, someone is definitely thinking of you!

Since February is an abbreviated month, Cardabilities is revealing on the 14th and on the 28th.  It's just a little earlier than normal, so today is our reveal!
Our sponsor for this reveal is...  WhimsieDoodles!  Yayyyy!!!

So, are you ready for this uber pretty sketch?

I just adore the beautiful layers and shaped of this sketch!  I had to play with my "Enchanted" Imaginisce papers and I-Rock for this card.  Aren't the colors in this line just so pretty?  I paired it up with some butterfly punches and voila!

Thank you so much for stopping on by today!  I hope you have yourself a super scrappity Valentine's Day!!!

Be Mine!

Good Morning my blog loving friends!

Over at Imaginisce the Design Team had some fun making some amazing creations for Valentine's Day but not necessarily with traditional Valentine themed products.  You know how I always love challenges like this!!!

I decided to play with Animal Crackers and see what I could create...

For this card I used my Cricut Expression and Wild Card cartridge to create the shaped card.  My I-Bond was used to glue the lace on the back of the card.  I *heart* my I-Bond!!!  To finish it up, I cut out the word Sweet from one of the diecuts in the collection, added some mini alphas, punched hearts and voila!

WHO WANTS TO WIN?
We hope today's feature has given you inspiration to make the perfect card for someone special on Valentine's Day. And if you supply the chocolates, we'll supply the flowers as we are giving one lucky follower the chance to win one of our fabulous Petal Roller Tools and a selection of Rolly Rosies and Rolly Posies.  Remember my flower can below?  You can make that or oodles of other amazing thing with those!!!

All you have to do is REGISTER for the new Imaginisce 2011 E-Newsletter and leave a comment to tell us what you would make for that someone special in your life on Valentine's Day. Winner will be announced on Friday!

February Challenge for Imaginisce!

It's the very first day of February, that's incredible!  Guess what?  A whole new challenge is going up for you over at Imaginisce!!!  That means a Blog Hop is going on and you're in it!!!

If you are hopping along, you should be arriving from the amazingly talented blog of our resident super-crafter, Pinky!  If you don't know what I'm talking about, please pop over to Imaginisce for all the details!

Aphra and Courtney bring to you this photo and color challenge for inspiration:
The prize for the February Challenge is a $75 I-Top Package OR $75 worth of Popular Paper Collections.

To be eligible, you must link up your challenge project on the Feb 1st post by Friday Feb 25th. Be certain that your project includes at least 75% Imaginisce products!

Here is what this challenge inspired me to create:
Please meet my "Dreaming of Spring!" sweet bouquet and card set. I saw the idea to use "Dum Dum" suckers for the floral centers in a project from the February issue of Scrapbooks, Etc. They used them to create some tissue paper flowers.  I thought... how totally fun would this be for this challenge and to use with our Roly Rosies and Pop Up Posies!?!

The little can I picked up at Michael's along with some twisty white floral accents. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch. I used my I-Rock and gems to give her a special glow. : ) I used the 28mm I-Top punch for a floral layer here. The leaves I hand cut from some pretty Garden Party papers.  I'm in love with these flowers! They are so fun, easy to do and our Petal Roller tool makes them come alive! I also used my handy I-Bond to attach them to the suckers.  A close up for you:
I had to make a card to go along with the bouquet!  These papers are from the Enchanted collection.  Heart punches are from Marvy Uchida, rub-on; Sizzix, rosebud, Prima; spinners (2), Ranger; other misc., button, thread.  I printed the sentiment on white cardstock from my PC.

The HOP Prize:  This hop's winner will receive an I-Bond with accessories.  To be eligible, you must comment and follow on each designer's blog and then back at the Imaginisce blog.

That's all I have for you today, your next stop on this fabulous hop is our lovely Challenge maven... Aphra!!!
