Cardabilities Reveal #24!!!

Good morning my blog loving friends!

I have a treat to share with you today, the next Cardabilities sketch!  This is a shaped card sketch and I had a totally great time playing with this one, and I know you will too!!!

Here is my interpretation...  I took a little (ok, a lot of!) creative liberty with the sketch but that's what it's all about isn't it?  Karan's sketches always inspire me!

I created this using Imaginisce's Garden Party papers and ribbon, my I-Top and 16mm punch and brads.  For the shape it's a Spellbinder's owl, Labels 13 and for the stinking cute feathers, my Martha Stewart Rose Leaf punch.  I love that thing!!!  The pearls are Kaisercraft.

Make sure you pop on over to the Cardabilities blog and play along if you are inspired.  Link up your creation so we can leave you some blog love too!!!

Thanks for spending a moment with me here today, have a super scrappity day!!!

Huge Win and Excitement!!!

Happy Wednesday my blog loving friends!!!

I'm so speechless I almost don't even know how to write this post up!   (All right, who am I kidding, I always have something to say!!!)  I have a fun project to share with you and some even more fun news too!

I created a little card for a contest sponsored by Provo Craft.  The challenge for the contest was as follows:  Create a card using at least one Anna Griffin product (paper, stamps stickers etc.) and one or more of the following Cricut cartridges; Don Juan, Winter Lace (seasonal) and Wall Décor & More.  Mail in your entry and then wait for the big huge debut show on HSN, January 20th.  Here is what I did for the contest:
  • a) Anna Griffin product (the green paper ruffle and the shadow behind the interior sentiment)
  • b) One of three Cricut Cartridges, I used "Wall Decor and More" (the butterfly, the word hello and shadow and the letter "I" on the interior sentiment).

I said yeah.. I said yeah..  I said oh....  hello!
This little card of mine was one of the finale winners!

Jinger Adams and Provo Craft selected it and I couldn't be more completely honored!!!  What did I win?

Cricut Expression
Cricut Gypsy
Anna Griffin's Card Kit
Yudu Card Shop

I can't say a big enough Thank You to Provo Craft and to Anna Griffin for their amazing generosity and fun contest!  Congratulations also to all of the other lucky winners!  Your cards are all beautiful!

Have a super scrappity day!!!

Choo - Choo!!! The Animal Crackers Party is Coming to YOU!!!

As you know, this week we have been featuring our new fabulous release over on the Imaginisce blog, "Animal Crackers"!  I promised you a little more fun with the line, and can't wait to share it with you!!!
I thought this line was just perfect for a cute little animal crackers train (Kaisercraft)!

I scored the Engine's tires for texture, used my favorite I-Top to create my wheels, and isn't it fun with the variety of sizes?  I used a scallop punch to take a "bite" out of one of the peanuts.

The window frames and curtains are pop dotted with foam dots, and the smokestack and car wheels are dry embossed.
I used black tulle for the curtains on the "Come One Come All" stage.

My biggest go-to tool for this was Imaginise's fabulous new D-Stress

I gave it a total workout and what a joy!  It gets into each of the slots, helps sand away any paint or nooks to create the absolute perfect fit!  Oh, and if you forget to punch your hole, no worries, you can gently push this through and it sands it right out for you ~ voila!   I seriously think that every crafter is going to fall in LOVE with this tool!!!

Do not forget to make sure you are a follower here and on the Imaginisce blog to qualify to win!

Thanks so much for spending a moment here with me today!  Have yourself a super scrappity day!!!

p.s.  I will share more details shots on this when the weather cooperates here in MN!

This project was published in Scrapbooks Etc., April 2012.

The Animal Crackers Release Party Continues!

Grab Your Pop-Corn and,
Enjoy the Fun Fair!

***   ***   ***   ***   ***   ***   ***
I've had such a fun time creating with the newest release from Imaginisce, "Animal Crackers"!

The papers have such great colors in them and can work for so many themes.  On the following page, I wanted to use some candid photos of the kids just being silly.  They decided to climb on into the Christmas Tree box, while it was still inside!  They really thought they were funny and so did I!

For this design, I wanted to make it look like they were on a stage of sorts, so I framed the photo area out. Don't you just love those All Aboard! Borders? I'm also in love with the chipboard and the tickets and animals in this line! It's just all addicting!

Here are a few close-ups for fun:

The Imaginisce products I've used on this page are:
Imaginisce "Animal Crackers" papers
Ladies & Gentlemen - Chipboard Stickers
Greatest Titles on Earth - Die Cuts (Step Right Up)
I-Rock, studs
I-Top 18mm Brad
I-Top
I-Bond
All Aboard! Borders

Make sure that you stop by the Imaginisce blog today and every day this week!  There are fabulous prizes and who knows, you might just win this collection!!!

Thanks so much for stopping on over and spending a minute with me here today!  Have a super scrappity day!!

p.s.  Stay tuned...  I have another really fun Animal Crackers project to share soon!!!

My Special Day at Imaginisce!

Today is a really special day!  I am so honored to be introduced over at Imaginisce as one of the newer member of the Design Team!!!

This week, Imaginisce has been posting some fun facts about our Design Team and today is my day!!!  It's such a fun way to get introduced to each other and I have been totally enjoying this weeks posts!

There will be a special post this morning on the Imaginisce Blog.   You will want to hop over there and enjoy a few factoids about Rhonda that you might not have known!  Be sure to leave a comment here on my blog, then go back to the Imaginisce Blog to let them know and you will be eligible to win a very cool prize!!!

When I applied to Imaginisce, I did so because I love their products!  As a matter of fact, in my application when we were asked why we wanted to represent Imaginisce, this is what I said:

"I love the quality and innovation of your products!  I've had the I-Top for about a year now and have been using my I-Rock since the summer.  I would be proud to showcase your products and demonstrate the range that you can create anything from whimsical quirky projects to earthy and elegant!"

I recently got my first delivery of Imaginisce goodies and trust me when I tell you I was like a kid in a candy store!   There was something about these Enchanted papers that just spoke to me.  Maybe because I can relate to some of my wishes coming true!

So, here is a page that I did in honor of this introduction using the Enchanted line.

For this project I used my i-top, my i-rock, my i-bond, the petal roller and of course I had to add some Roly Rosies in pink.  I have to tell you that I am a gadget girl to the max, so using my new pink i-bond is a dream!  It is so precise and the fact that it is cordless, well that just rocks!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I'd love it if you shared an unknown fact about yourself back with me!

Have a super scrappity day!!!

p.s.  Don't forget to pop back over to the Imaginisce Blog and comment there too to be eligible to win a sweet prize!!!

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Years and a very Happy Saturday to you my blogging friends!

I'm so super excited to bring to you my first official Imaginisce post!  We are doing a Blog Hop with some super fabulous prizes and you will NOT want to miss this!  In conjunction with kicking off the New Year, we are revealing our January 2011 Challenge which is...

A "Found" item upcycle!!!

The challenge?  Find an item and alter it with at least 75% Imaginisce products and post your link to the Imaginisce blog.  Easy right?  The prize for the monthly challenge is valued at at least $75.  I love to alter items so this challenge was just a fun time for me!  Here is what I created:

This is one of my favorite photos from Christmas 2009 with my little guys.  I love that the baby still has his complete baby face.  Oh, and that flower on the upper left, the outside flower was created using my 28mm I-Top punch and by curling the ends under with my Petal Roller.  I love that thing!!!

So here is my found item, or as I like to call it the 'before'.  Remember my altered clock that I worked on a little bit ago?  That project has two matching little shadowbox frames that were part of that kit that I got for $8 from Tuesday Morning.
We can't wait to see what you create!  Do you want to see part of the prize package that is up for grabs for this January Challenge?  Again, this is only a part of the package!!!
Thanks so much for hopping on by, be sure to go back to visit the Imaginisce Blog to get all the Blog Hop details!  The Blog Hop prize is valued at over $50!!!

Have a Super Scrappity Day and Year!!!
