We had such a fun time visiting our family and friends in Iowa, it was a much needed getaway for us as well as the kids. I did manage to fit in just a little afternoon black friday shopping and got a few deals too! We arrived home yesterday afternoon and guess what was waiting for me?
If you guessed the ScrapFit prize for workout #7 - well you would be right! What a gorgeous array of fun and yummy scrappy goodness! I wanted to take a moment to thank ScrapMuse for donating the prize and ScrapFit for sponsoring such a fun challenge and selecting my entry! If you have some time check out the ScrapFit blog hop they have going on!
I hope you all have a super enjoyable scrappity dappity day!

ScrapFit Blog Hop: Christmas Full of Sparkle
Here is my take on the "Wishing you a Christmas Full of Sparkle and a New Year full of Cheer!" card challenge for the ScrapFit blog hop event. I used my Life Preserver's November card kit full of Graphic 45 scrappy goodness for this!
The ribbon and sentiment sticker are finds from Michael's dollar section. I stepped out of my comfort zone and just wrote on the card after I made it. Nerve wracking and I still don't know what I really think! Thank you so much for stopping on over!!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday and journey safely back home if you are traveling.

Starring... Professor "MY!" Glasses and other stuff...
For this month I'm designing with Fancy Pants "Rough and Tough" line which is Life Preserver's alternate November kit. It is very fun and carefree, just perfect for some goofy or wild photos!
For this layout, I altered the star pattern paper with a variety of Stickles so that the color scheme would coordinate better with the red/black background pattern paper. I used glossy accents on the glasses in the upper photo and diamond stickles on them in the lower photo. I also used glossy accents on the white polka dots and on the "5" in the title "gla5ses". I doodled and stickled under the word "my".
I cut the star out from a coffee sleeve and the red wire on it is a bread tie.
Hi! A fun little card...
For this card I was inspired by the Life Preserver's Nov Card Sketch Challenge. I used some stickles for a little extra zing. This paper is just too cute and fun! Thanks for stopping by!

MME: Blog Challenge 5 November Sketch Challenge
Here is the awesome challenge sketch from MME!
Here is my interpretation of the sketch.
I used the Stomp and Confetti lines for this design.
This is my very favorite photo of my oldest son. I have been wanting to scrap this and the circle design of the sketch seemed to suit it perfectly! ** Please note that this layout was out for publication through 2/24.
Thanks so much for looking!
So Exciting!!
I'm so tickled I just had to put a quick post out here!! Have you checked out ScrapFit!? If you haven't, pop on over and check out their challenges. I participated with them for Workout #7 with my How Amusing! layout. They just posted the winner today and..... they chose me! Woo Hoo!!!

Fall Blessings
Happy Thursday! This time of year always makes me look forward to Thanksgiving. In honor of that holiday, I am drawn to the beautiful fall browns, coppers and mustard yellows that abound.
The SEI Movaria collection felt like fall to me and it is so rich with the flocking and foil. Pictures really do not do it justice. I picked some of these up and just had to use them, so I put together a card last night. These papers are wonderful to use for cards or pages for the guys.

Wild about cards?
TGIF!! Are you wild about cards? I do not consider myself much of a card maker. That being said, when I feel like I don't do something well, generally that inspires and challenges me to try and prove myself wrong.
This is the "deckle" card. The dragonfly and ladybug stickers were clearance finds. I inked the dragonfly with worn lipstick distress ink to match.
Enter the new cricut cartridge "Wild Card". I picked this one up hoping that it would inspire me to create something unique and to top it off - make coordinating/matching envelopes!
I was initially intimidated by this cartridge. I wondered how to create envelopes and cards so that they would fit each other correctly. What does a technie gal do when she's intimidated by something? I hunt down anything related on You Tube and attempt to conquer!

How Amusing!
The Life Preservers October Mini Kit is from Scrap Within Reach, their new Carnival release. Can I just say how beautiful this paper is? No really, I mean absolutely gorgeous in every way.
Here is what I did with part of my kit. This was our son's first ever carnival experience at the age of 21 months. He wasn't so sure about the carousel, but later really loved the car and boat rides.
